things I love about orange blossom:

1.) I have someone to take care - I buckle her in.

2.) she let's me hold her hand when I feel lonely

3.) she has really really short legs, her legs to upper body ratio is skewed to her upper body - so my purse still fits on the seat

4.) I have someone's head to pet

5.) It makes a big difference to have someone always waiting for you in the car!

6.) she always welcomes me with her bright eyes and smiles- I mean come on she's strawberry shortcake's best friend!

7.) she always agrees with me.

I have been tagged by the beautiful and talented Rohsuanita.

I need to write 10 things about me. I should tag 10 other people but it's not my thing so here's what I got:

1) I had artists block for about 3 years while I was in art school and after I got out.

2) Michael Jackson songs always made me happy, except after he died then they made me sad, now it's mixed.

3) When I was 7 MJ came to perform in Tel Aviv and I wanted to go so bad but my mom wouldn't let me because I was too young. I think I finally forgave her in my teens.

4) I work in a kindergarden

5) sometimes I steal ideas from the kids' drawings.

6) Deep down I wish I could be a hip hop dance star, but I don't think that's going to happen.

6) I only have patience to read short stories and comix. I think I've read about 10 novels in my lifetime.

7) I'm scared to ride a bike.

8) When I was little I used to get an alergic reaction to eating tomatoes, but I loved them so I'd have a swollen red face all the time.

9) this last year I went to puppetry school. The teachers said I move the characters too fast. My final show I did two puppets lipsynch "chop suey" by system of a down. It was a hit :)

10) my artist idols are picasso, Jan Svankmajer, Roald Dahl (writer) and Jim Hensen.

So now you know.

oh, and I'm not much of a counter either....

No.1 :))

1. I would install solar panels both horizontally and south-facing. I'd place the panels horizontally because the longest-lasting strongest solar radiation waves occur throughout the summer months there. I also chose place solar panels that were south-facing. I could have also chosen the east or west but opted otherwise. The West had a consistent amount of radiation but was relatively weak. The East had stronger radiation, but that only occurred during the summertime, and yet, was weaker than the horizontal option. The south, however, was weak during the summer but extremely strong in the winter. This, the balance of strong radiation between summer and winter calls for horizontal and south.

2. The temperatures here are, for the most part, not in the comfort zone. It is almost always cold, year-round, but when it does become hot, it tends to exceed to comfort zone and become TOO hot. It would thus be ideal for the occupants of the house, before they install a mechanical system, to consider a change in insulation of the house.

3. Demand for heating/cooling depends on the time of day. It would seem quite logical that the demand for heating, as shown on the charts, drops to nothing because nobody is in the building. The demand for heating occurred in the winter during the mornings and evenings, while the demand for cooling occurs during the day.

We see the demand for cooling drop when air ventilation is equipped, but the demand for heating remains indifferent.

4. The variations of clouds in the sky during the winter is more prominent and consistent. Daylight in the summer is more frequent than in the winter. We can resolve this by adding movable shades. During the summer, the shades can block out the sunlight which would reduce heat, and during the winter, the shades could be open for to allow sunlight which would add heat. During the winter, the shades would need to open enough to allow the sun to heat up the room, but not for too long so that coolness from outside is conducted through the thinly insulated glass.

Cartwheel (1). I think I will need a flash and higher shutter speed in next opportunity of taking stage photos.

These are Barbie Home Pretty 1989 (or 1990). Two versions of one doll. First I bought the doll № 1. I damaged her hairstyle when I tried to remove the old melted scrunchy from her hair. So I decided to buy this doll again and to try to save her hair in good condition.

The dolls are really different. The first doll has a wider face, more paint on her cheeks and on her lips. The first row of her hair looks to be a bit lower compared to the same one of the second doll. The pink elements of the outfit of the first doll are lighter, the material of sleeves and of the flower on the waist is softer. The outfit of the first doll seems to be sewed better and more carefully though I find the second doll more elegant

To enjoy this you have to set aside your natural suspicions of local governments in the rural areas of the U.S., riddled as they are with corrupt good-old-boys' networks and lawless cops, etc. Just think about the architecture.

It's been too long since I've been on flickr, and a lot has changed since then.

1. I graduated highschool.

2. I took a life changing trip to France.

3. I started college.

4. I went insane and dyed my hair completely purple.

With this new chapter of my life, I decided change was what I needed.

Cheers to that, and for what's to come.

I am very unhappy about the above image because it is soft (had to sharpen it up considerably - and still looks soft) and I am putting it up on Flickr to remind me of the following:

1) I WILL remember to change the ISO from the previous setting..

2) I WILL remember to take my tripod with me always (and USE it)..

3) I WILL remember not to panic when I see birds sit right in front of me...

4) I WILL remember to be alert and not look down & admire my photographs taken earlier..

5) I WILL remember to put mosquito repellant on myself before I leave home...

An excellent opportunity to take a good photograph of an elusive bird and I fluffed it.

5. i sleep under at least three blankets. i'm always cold, but i like the weight. even in summer.

6. i have developed a slight anxiety about social interactions. i tend to keep to myself mostly. i think i'm just out of practice.

7. in my next lives i will live in these places: wyoming, rhode island (at the beach), the lake district UK, and the caribbean.

8. for the first time on LOST, i can't even speculate on what will happen. all i know is that i want the smoke monster to stop being so cheesy. how can a black smokey cloud judge people? please...

9. winter without snow is a waste of a cold weather, in my opinion. and not just a light dusting...a good hefty snow (sorry mid-atlantic states). if it's not going to snow, then let's get back to the 65+ degree weather, ok?

10. sometimes the book really isn't better than the movie. yeah, i said it.

(•) – The-Lockheed-Martin-HC-130-P-Hercules-The-Combat-K.I.N.G-1-I-is an extended-range version of the C-130 Hercules transport. HC-130 crews provide expeditionary, all weather personnel recovery capabilities to our Combatant Commanders and Joint/Coalitions partners worldwide.

Mission

The mission of the HC-130P/N "King" is to rapidly deploy to austere airfields and denied territory in order to execute , all weather personnel recovery operations anytime...anywhere. King crews routinely perform high and low altitude personnel & equipment airdrops, infiltration/exfiltration of personnel, helicopter air-to-air refueling, and forward area refueling point missions.

When tasked, the aircraft also conducts humanitarian assistance operations, disaster response, security cooperation/aviation advisory, emergency aeromedical evacuation, casualty evacuation, noncombatant evacuation operations, and, during the Space Shuttle program, space flight support for NASA.

Features

Modifications to the HC-130P/N are improved navigation, threat detection and countermeasures systems. The aircraft fleet has a fully-integrated inertial navigation and global positioning systems, and night vision goggle, or NVG, compatible interior and exterior lighting. It also has forward-looking infrared, radar and missile warning receivers, chaff and flare dispensers, satellite and data-burst communications.

The HC-130 can fly in the day; however, crews normally fly night at low to medium altitude levels in contested or sensitive environments, both over land or overwater. Crews use NVGs for tactical flight profiles to avoid detection to accomplish covert infiltration/exfiltration and transload operations. To enhance the probability of mission success and survivability near populated areas, crews employ tactics that include incorporating no external lighting or communications, and avoiding radar and weapons detection.

Drop zone objectives are done via personnel drops and equipment drops. Rescue bundles include illumination flares, marker smokes and rescue kits. Helicopter air-to-air refueling can be conducted at night, with blacked out communication with up to two simultaneous helicopters. Additionally, forward area refueling point operations can be executed to support a variety of joint and coalition partners.

Background

The HC-130P/N is the only dedicated fixed-wing combat search and rescue platform in the Air Force inventory. The 71st and 79th Rescue Squadrons in Air Combat Command, the 550th Special Operations Squadron in Air Education and Training Command, the 920th Rescue Group in Air Force Reserve Command and the 106th Rescue Wing, 129th RQW and 176th Wing in the Air National Guard operate the aircraft.

First flown in 1964, the aircraft has served many roles and missions. It was initially modified to conduct search and rescue missions, provide a command and control platform, in-flight-refuel helicopters and carry supplemental fuel for extending range and increasing loiter time during search operations.

In April 2006, the continental U.S. search and rescue mission was transferred back to Air Combat Command at Langley AFB, Va. From 2003 to 2006, the mission was under the Air Force Special Operations Command at Hurlburt Field, Fla. Previously, HC-130s were assigned to ACC from 1992 to 2003. They were first assigned to the Air Rescue Service as part of Military Airlift Command.

They have been deployed to Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey in support of operations Southern and Northern Watch, Allied Force, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. HC-130s also support continuous alert commitments in Alaska and the Horn of Africa.
