Great horned owl.

This magnificent Ginko tree dates to the mid-ninteenth century. Located on the Tuebner/Husmann/Kallmeyer farm just east of Hermann, Missouri, it was planted by George Husmann, a major player in the wine business in Hermann and Bluffton, Missouri, and the Sedalia area before moving on to California where he was instrumental in the beginnings of the Napa Valley wine country.

This is staircase 1/52 for my new staircase project 2020. I really like this one, I think it is almost perfect - if it wasn't for the slanted ceiling which drives my inner Monk slightly mad.
