This girl has been on her own - so the nice guy was helping her getting the photo.
This image is stitched manually (3 originals).
best viewd large!
I posted this photo in an online gallery of a certain photography magazine. It was the first photo I posted there (and that may stay that way). Soon I had a comment on it. This is what it said:
"Place your subject in the corner, makes a much better photo. Photo is nice, but that post!!!"
Now. Am I the only one who thinks this is a very moron remark and this person just doesn't get it or is it vice versa? I mean, you don't have to like the photo, but this remark made me feel something got lost in translation. And I don't mean me not getting the comment either.

_____
Tutte rigorosamente in legno.

"I would give all this and heaven too
I would give it all if only for a moment that I could just understand the meaning of the word you see cause I've been scrawling it forever but it never make sense to me at all".
Gand is different. It's an environment which I haven't experienced before. The surface is littered with remains of countless demolished craft, left to rot in the barren desert. Everything is static; lifeless. Alone. The solid lack of civilization was unbearable. Walking through the debris and shattered residue of the Rinv VI was quite absurd as well, considering how nothing was recognizable. The entire vessel had been obliterated on impact when it had collided with the planet. Anything that hadn't made it out might as well either be dead or dying. Or infected, to make matters worse.
The Rakghoul plague had spread through the entire station. Occasionally I would come upon one of those god forsaken monsters, each with a slight resemblance of a former soldier, with bits and pieces of Republic Armor straggling from their flesh. It was disgusting. The best I could do was avoid them, but even that proved difficult. They were everywhere, and hunted in dozens upon dozens.
They found me. It was impossible to reach the damaged bio-weapons without shooting something. There was only one, but that was enough. I could easily pick it off with Ruby, my rifle, but couldn't find the nerve to kill it. It was still a former soldier. A friend. Consumed by the intentions of the Sith acolyte, it was still a person at that. I pulled the trigger.
I killed it. No, I killed him. The faint resemblance of Fett's face fell to the ground as the body toppled over. Confederate bastards. They're contaminating the entire planet.

Mission 7.1 in the 457th Corps.
Nana manga cover, volume 1, French edition.
Build for challenge on brickpirate.net: any cover whatsoever (film, comics, music, book…).
I wasn't in a "brickbuild" kinda mood so I tried something different. This is a hybrid between a traditional Lego mosaic and a Powerpig (Chris McVeigh) type of drawing. I worked it a little like a painting, with several layers.
Obviously it's almost impossible to put all the details on such a small surface and the result is more than approximative, but somehow I'm really happy with this. Something I may study more thoroughly in the future.
