Scanned at 3200dpi using Epson F-3200 scanner,

Processed in CS3.

First "wild" jumping spider of the season - wild meaning not found around the house. Observed during a walk at Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse in Montréal, QC, Canada. I didn't think the spiders would be already there, as there were very few insects around, but on a wooden structure, there was this little beauty! It jumped onto my lens several times and even climbed into my flash diffuser. Possibly a juvenile Hentzia sp., most likely Hentzia mitrata.

Vivitar Series 1 105mm F/2.5 Macro plus Raynox MSN-202, with off-camera Yongnuo YN-560 III. A little above 2.5:1. Single frame, plus a moderate crop. With the crop, I believe the frame here is around 8mm wide.
