There have been no hummers here for a few days now. The females and juveniles have left on their journey south.

Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night. I miss you like hell.

A wild raccoon who seemed comfortable being near humans, she spent many daylight hours hanging out nearby. We were close enough to touch but I never wanted to risk the "arrangement" so I would garden and she would stay busy looking for insects, etc.
Petunia was named for the plant that I hid some kibble and marshmellows in and she loved to find a little treat.

I hope this gorgeous Petunia blossom brings some sunshine into your day! Do something nice for yourselves, you're all worth it my friends!
There is a void in the world. And what is missing? When do I feel
that something is missing for me?
Only when the moon is full?
Can I feel a lack for something that never was?
From my perspective, I can experience a lack – only for something that was
and is no more.
And now there is a void in the world, and the lack is significant.
And no one can understand the lack of the other.
The same feeling that is personal to each one.
And all that remains for us
is to embrace the sorrow.
Manquant...
Il y a un vide dans le monde. Et qu'est-ce qui manque ? Quand est-ce que je ressens
qu'il me manque quelque chose ?

Hey my great flickr friends ;-)!
It has been awhile... somehow all my attempts to end my "ghost state" here have failed ;-) and I'm very sorry about that!! I definitely miss you and your work! And I always learned so much from you...! Therefore I'll try to appear at least from time to time, probably it won't be possible to comment on your work and to post my stuff regularly - or as regular as it has been in the past - but we'll see ;-)...
I'm going to post two iPhone videos, one (mostly) of SF, one of AZ (Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff...) where I've spent 2,5 weeks in May.
And I definitely left my heart on this side of the world.......... (and 3 min. aren't long enough for sentimental memory videos, btw. :-))..!!).
Thanks a lot to all for watching and for your patience in general! I'll try my best to visit your photo streams asap! ;-). P. S.: Just looked at the videos on flickr and am definitely shocked and a bit frustrated and sad about the bad quality! Not sure how much they have compressed them, but the difference to the original ones is immense... I'm very sorry... I wouldn't have posted them in such a bad quality, especially the time lapse parts are totally blurred... thanks a lot for your kindness and encouragement despite that, my dear flickr friends... how good that I've taken more than 2000 pics with my camera during my time there :-)...... :-))
