After a hectic night of photographing in the city, I couldn't help but see what the thick, incoming fog looked like from Battery Spencer. It looked like this. Haha. Well, I was glad I stopped and took a gander. There are so many variations of how the fog can appear from up here. Thanks for looking!

I seem to be missing that little glint in my eyes. the look of mischief and devilment.

Could just be that I have been a bit snowed under these past few months and the last couple of days before I went away I have to say I was at breaking point.

But I am hopefully now fully charged and still have no idea where my life is taking me but hey that doesn't matter. Lets see if I can have a bit of fun over the next few days and even play with an idea for Halloween.

Rien n'est plus trompeur qu'une photo, on croit fixer un moment heureux pour l'éternité alors qu'on ne créée que la nostalgie...

On appuie sur le déclencheur et hop, une seconde plus tard, l'instant a disparu.

Please, please forgive me,

But I won't be home again.

Maybe someday you'll look up,

And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one:

"Isn't something missing?"

You won't cry for my absence, I know -

You forgot me long ago.

Am I that unimportant...?

Am I so insignificant...?

Isn't something missing?

Isn't someone missing me?

Even though I'm the sacrifice,

You won't try for me, not now.

Though I'd die to know you love me,

I'm all alone.

Isn't someone missing me?

And if I bleed, I'll bleed,

Knowing you don't care.

And if I sleep just to dream of you

I'll wake without you there,

Isn't something missing?

Isn't something...

How I do.

Three years with you.

Every single day, I miss what should have been.

Dang it!!! I missed my flight back to Atlanta and I miss my boys soooooooooooooooo much! Now I'm late even 5 more hours!

I took this shot laying on my stomach almost but end up missing the setting sun. Oh well, I still like it.

Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250)

Aperture: f/2.8

Lens: Canon 100 mm Macro

ISO Speed: 200

Exposure Bias: 0 EV

(Canon 10-22 would have been the right lens if I wanted the mountain in the back and definitely higher f-stops. However, available light, no tripod, and energy wasn't on my side. :-)

When he's not here it's:

Day without sunshine

Morning without coffee

Song without beats

Life, without memories

Rainbow without colors

Forest without trees

Is how empty I feel

When you are not with me

All I need are your hugs

Baby I miss you badly.

I'm holding you down even though the hours are long but knowing I'll see you again in the shadow of night where my heart is it's quietest to only stir with a roaring thunder once your lips meet mine once again.

& that really good window in our kitchen.

And this's amazing commening ever!!! ( from Echtetekke )

here our talk ( Topic is my title name of this picture " missing " )

Echtetekke:- Now I missed it for the second time in a row. Had to delete my second message also. I now see what you really did here. I have to follow that vertical line on the left side of the picture downward, then turn left at the third (and final) crossroad, follow the horizontal line till the fifth (and final) crossroad and turn left again, follow the slanted line upward till the third (and final) crossroad, then go diagonally, following the -> missing diagonal <- to the central point in this picture, right in the upper right corner. Brilliant picture! I do think I can get totally lost in it.

Me:- Thank you for the comment..

Wow!...I really enjoy your note .You also teach me new thing!!!

How the new way to look at picture in mathematics.

and I did !!..I follow the lines your lead...untill of the end note.

I saw & read " Missing diagonal " I laugh out loud....Very amazing!!! The word , It was matching of The Title "Missing" of mine.!!!!!!

Glad to know you.

Cheer!

Echtetekke:- Whoops, I thought you put this puzzle into your picture on purpose. First I didn't think much of this picture but then I saw your other photo's and realized that you knew exactly what to put in your pictures and what not to put in them. So I took a closer look at this one. I noticed the horizontal line, the vertical line, and then I figured you didn't put them there like that by accident. Then I saw the crossroad, exactly ont the lower right side of the picture, a perfect alignment. Then I noticed that the upper right corner was also perfectly cut out, and went to look at the upper left corner for another clue. I couldn't find it. It seemed to be missing. First I thought that that was the point you were trying to make, that your picture was missing something. But then I realized that the point in the upper right corner was the final point to your picture, all other points are connected by lines. Except for your final point. The only way to get there was to follow a line that wasn't there. The missing diagonal. Then I noticed that all diagonals with this direction were missing. And figured that that was what you meant to say with the word 'missing'. But apperently you didn't mean that. So now I really wonder what you did mean to say with this title.

Me:- Read my Note ...:-))

Echtetekke:- And I keep missing things. I'm stumbling my way towards understanding. It's so obvious that I totally missed it!

Myself and a friend were out taking photos in the hills today. I saw this sign and then a poster someone had put up about a missing dog. I couldn't resist, however tragic it seems. View this large to make out the poster.

One of our still functioning pottery manufacturers, Heron Cross Pottery Limited whose factory sits between Chilton Street and Hines Street, Heron Cross, Stoke-on-Trent, still producing earthen ware goods whilst many of its competitors have ceased to trade.

This potbank, constructed in and around 1876 by Hines Brothers on what was a former colliery, was originally a three storey range but was remodelled following a fire. This part of the factory (range) along with the associated bottle kiln is grade II listed.

It was bought by Grimwades Pottery in 1907 and carried on production until World war 2 when it was requisitioned by the goverment to store mines and bully beef (an unusual combination). It was purchased in 1961 by Frank William Ridge Senior and is still operated by the family, the current owner being Christopher Ridge.

As can be seen, the bottle kiln has been incorporated into the factory.

Also visible on this elevation is the ghost sign for the one time Frit Kiln Restaurant. The lower sign board used to read "Heron Cross Pottery".
