Comment: "To me, Behrens is our guide to the auditory unconscious, to sound that we won't hear or can't hear, to the confused swarm of elemental noise. Behrens, through his expertise in montage and editing, introduces us to the contaminated pause, to the backdrop that reveals sound. In near silence, he sensitises us to ghosts, to notions of intent and to the sounds of our imagination. The exhibition is esoteric and sparse. It requires commitment to discern the artist in his compositions. He nudges us towards the infinite but it is lost upon us. It begs another look." - Raj
