I was taking photos of the snowstorm that was fast approaching (not fog) and it looked like the trees were ghostly. Loved the effect of the snow (which isn't grainy film - but a great storm last month in Alpine)!
A lovely white flower. Captured with my very old, trusty manual Vivitar 105 mm Series 1 Macro, which often produces quite interesting bokeh.

Phantom Ship is a tiny island located in Crater Lake, Oregon. It is so named due to its shape.

This rocky island is near the distance shore on my previous post. It's 500 feet long but small enough that it's not easy to see at that distance. Phantom Ship is the oldest rock within the caldera and is so steep that just a few feet away from the island the water is over 1,000 feet deep. Named for its ghosts hip-like appearance on foggy days.

Phantom Ship is a small island in Crater Lake in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is a natural rock formation pillar which derives its name from its resemblance to a ghost ship, especially in foggy and low-light conditions.
Here's the same island from the opposite side on a more colorful day and with just a little more perspective. It's really not that far from the edge of the lake. You can even see the rocky underwater connection here.
