One of the fun things about shooting and posting is that you can go back after the fact and see what you've seen but not recognized.
I took this at Art New York because the art caught my eye and I liked the man sitting in front of it. Little did I know that the sitting man was Jason Newsted, and even had I known that, I would not have known that he was the former bass player for Metallica.
Here he is talking about his art.

These works, and those of other artists were being sold for the benefit of the Perry J. Cohen Foundation.

"My wife is blind. I tell her stories of her favorite TV series, and sometimes change the script.... to create a better atmosphere for her.
Exhibition Review - Philipp Timischl:'2' Vilma Gold, London till 16 Apr 2016.
With Timischl, two outspoken agents square off to the illusion of zero sum. - Drenched Co.
Comment: "Philip Timischl's '2' wonderfully betrays his need for binaries and various dualities even if he is only interested in the stuff that goes on between certain opposites. To me, Timischl's anti-theft gate keepers build vibrating boundaries and trigger-happy force fields around them. These affect you with a certain static that brings a jitter to meaning and form. Only clarity resides in the poles. All else, including the walls and images are behaving like thieves, all jittery and unpredictable. How very clever!" - Raj

The most famous of Jackson Pollock's works. It took up a whole wall in one of the galleries at the Museum of Modern Art...you can see how thick he applied the paint in this picture

Exhibition Review - Hannah Levy and Michael Simpson:'Shall we sit, stand or kneel?' Marlborough Chelsea, New York till 3rd Dec 2016.
“Denied of tiresome fixations,
it bends my body into incongruous places."
- Drenched Co.
Comment: "The emptiness in Simpson's paintings and Levy's chromed metal and silicone (recently escaped from their “design purgatory”) made me think of my local surgery's consultation rooms. And aptly enough both artists disassemble contexts in search of powers in their wonted seats, laying them bare through slick bits of archaeology. Being apparently free from bondage and semantic connections, I felt a strange familiarity with these paintings and sculptures, due perhaps to their new potentials but also (funnily enough) to their inviolable relations to the body. Brilliant!" - JayZee
