Well, the engineers at SRT have figured out how to maintain the performance traits of the electrified Daytona SRT Concept, demonstrated at the 2022 LA Auto Show. Dubbed, Fraztonic Chambered Exhaust, the digitized growl is mighty and lit up the entire convention center hall. Dodge uses an amplifier at the rear to empower exhaust notes akin to the traditional SRT Hellcat.

Battista "Pinin" Farina, the famous Italian cachbuilder always dreamt of creating a car bearing his name. In March 2019, Automobili Pininfarina unveiled the Battista. The Battista will be an all-electric hyper GT car to clients from 2020. 90 years after Battista founded Carrozzria Pininfarina, the Battista will be launched as Italy's most powerful and fastest car. Paolo Pininfarina, Michael Perschke, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina and Mahindra & Mahindra Chairman, Anand Mahindra, confirm that the limited-edition hypercard Battista will be the fastest and most powerful car ever designed and produced in Italy. Power and torque equate to 1.900 hp and 2.300 Nm respectively, meaning the Battista has the potential to accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds, faster than a Formula 1 car, and break the 250 mph top speed barrier - all with a potential zero emissions range of over 300 miles. No more than 150 Battistas will be available from late-2020.

-Retrats ciclistes-
Dins de les activitats dels 30 dies en bici Barcelona, els fotògrafs Xavi Calvo @calvox i Sergi Periche @sergiperiche ens unim per realitzar un projecte fotogràfic anomenat 'Retrats ciclistes' on descubrirem diferents perfils de persones ciclistes, on la bici gira al voltant de la seva vida, ja siguin ciclistes de tota la vida o de fa un any, urbans o esportius, mes o menys actius, sense importar sexe o edat.

Avui hem quedat amb la Violant Martí, ella ha triat l'Eroica Caffè Barcelona com a lloc de trobada per
fer el retrat i l’entrevista. La Violant té 58 anys, és Coordinadora de Projectes i actualment està a l’atur.
Des dels 18 anys va en moto i la moto li ha permès fer moltes coses i tenir una certa llibertat de
moviments, sempre s'ha mogut amb moto urbana. Com a curiositat va aprendre ha anar en bici amb 16
anys, relativament gran. Ella és un perfil ideal per començar aquesta llista de 'Retrats ciclistes' que fem
els fotògrafs Xavi Calvo & Sergi Periche, perquè l'any passat es va animar a fer els 30 dies amb bici i
ja no ha deixat d'anar en bicicleta.
Parlem amb ella des de una de les taules del Eroica Caffè Barcelona.
1.- Per què has triat aquest lloc?
Primer perquè és un lloc que per estètica m’agrada, segon; per la relació amb el món de la bicicleta,
perquè pots entrar amb la bicicleta sense cap problema, també perquè et trobes amb més gent que va en
bici i socialitzes amb gent que té els mateixos gustos o aficions.
2.- Per què vas en bici?
Fa uns anys vaig tenir un accident en moto, i això em va fer plantejar-me el tema de la bicicleta.
2.2- Et puc preguntar com va ser l'accident?
Va començar ploure després de molts dies de no fer-ho, i arribant a Plaça Lesseps per General Mitre es
va posar un semàfor en vermell i al frenar sobre la pintura, em va patinar la moto i em va caure la moto
al damunt i em vaig trencar la meseta tibial. Per sort no em van haver d'operar perquè no em va afectar
els lligaments, aleshores va tocar repòs absolut i paciència. Em vaig dir que mai més agafaria una moto
-com el dia que vaig parir que també vaig dir que mai més tindria un altre fill, i ara en tinc 2- i també
continuo agafant la moto encara que poc. Just després de l'accident va haver un període de transició,
però després vaig pensar que agafar la moto no podia ser un trauma, no es pot viure amb traumes!
2.3- Continuem amb el tema de per què vas en bici.
Amb la moto havia agafat una llibertat i una forma de moure’m per la ciutat, i amb l'accident vaig
veure que depenia molt del transport públic, etc. Això em va fer pensar que la bicicleta podria ser una
bona manera de continuar amb aquesta llibertat de moviments urbans. Tot i això, de vegades agafo la
moto si ho necessito, però sempre intento anar en bici.
3.- I com va ser que vas començar a anar en bici?
L'any passat vaig veure el moviment dels 30 dies en bici a l'abril i vaig demanar una ‘Brompton’ a una
amiga perquè me la deixés i així poder provar de fer el repte dels 30 dies. Sabia que amb una Brompton
o bici plegable ho faria, amb una gran no ho tenia clar.
3.1- Com es que et va donar per fer lo dels 30 dies?
Doncs perquè havia vist que si fas una activitat durant 21 dies seguits pots arribar a convertir-la en un
hàbit, i ho vaig aconseguir, ho vaig fer hàbit. Vaig començar a l’abril molt motivada i vaig fer, excepte
1 o 2 dies de pluja, tots els desplaçaments amb la bici. Això si, si plou evito agafar 2 rodes.
Aleshores em va agradar i vaig veure els avantatges i inconvenients de la bicicleta. Actualment hi ha
molts carrils bici i em dona més seguretat per moure’m amb la bici respecte fa uns anys que no hi havia
tants. Jo sóc una persona súper cívica, i anar per carril bici em dona una seguretat, també que cada cop
hi ha més usuaris, i també es converteix en una alternativa al transport públic, i una cosa molt
important: que no contamina.
4.- Què faries per millorar la mobilitat actual, i afavorir la bici?
Doncs que en lloc d’haver carrils bici, hi hagués carrils cotxe. Que els aïllats fossin els cotxes! Un
carril cotxe i la resta de l’espai pels vianants o bicicletes. Penso que aquest és l’objectiu: que el cotxe
sigui minoria i que vagi pel seu carril únic.
Jo no tinc cotxe i si el necessito el llogo, però abans esgoto totes les possibilitats, penso que hem de ser
conscients perquè si no en som –la terra- se’ns en va! El poder està en la gent en les petites accions que
puguin fer, no només en els governs.
Em sento molt satisfeta quant faig el recompte de quilometres setmanals que faig en bici, i el que deixo
de contaminar!
També em sento molt bé a nivell emocional: la bici em posa contenta, no sé que té però em fa sentir
molt bé, amb la moto et poses el casco arranques si ja està. Amb la bici et mous tu, hi ha un esforç i
una part de satisfacció personal que amb la moto no tens.
5.- Com veus la convivència vehicles a motor i bicicletes i/o vianants
Sóc molt cívica i sempre vaig per carril bici, sóc previnguda i no em fico en carrers conflictius amb
molts cotxes, etc. També haig de dir que les dones som més tranquil·les que els homes.
La bicicleta m’ha fet anar amb més tranquil·litat i més temps, calcular millor el temps per arribar als
llocs, potser és una de les raons del bon humor. Faig meditació i es tracta de viure el moment, el ‘aquí i
ara’ i amb la bici ho és una mica similar, vius el ‘aquí i ara’ , amb la moto és molt fàcil posar el pilot
automàtic.

7.- Formes part del ‘Bici Cultura’, que em pots dir
És una organització que relaciona la bicicleta amb la cultura fent circuits urbans amb algun aspecte
cultural, especialment arquitectònic. Això et fa veure diferents aspectes de la ciutat o altres indrets. I a
mi m’agrada l’arquitectura i la bicicleta.
8.- Pels 30 dies fareu alguna activitat
Pels 30 dies farem la gimcana que ja vam fer l’any passat i que per haver-la preparat amb poc temps va
venir força gent.

Fuel Cell Range Extended Electric Vehicle

Magna Steyr’s drivable demonstrator – the FCREEV – shows how very long ranges can be achieved at zero emissions. The drive concept using a fuel-cell range-extender can be built into any vehicle. A compact-size car, for example, can cover 90 km in purely electric mode and 500 km in combined hybrid operation without recharging or refueling – and without using fossil fuels. Magna Steyr built this drivable technology demonstrator as battery-driven electric vehicle with fuel-cell range-extender and all-wheel drive.
The FCREEV combines the advantages of two different alternative drives: fast fueling and the high-energy density of hydrogen as well as the available infrastructure for electric charging. The demo vehicle thus offers zero emissions and higher ranges at one and the same time. Furthermore, an electric all-wheel system enables the FCREEV to drive purely on electric power as priority with a fully charged battery. If the charge level is reduced, the fuel-cell switches itself on to recharge the battery and thus to increase the absolute range.

It was a pure moment of reflection into the future of mobility as the emergence of electrification conversations continue to take precedence in an era of global warming and planetary resource depletion. Helping spearhead that charge is the luxury and performance-oriented EV startup Lucid Motors, with headquarters in Newark, CA, and a 500-acre plant in Arizona.
This past weekend I had a chance to test drive the Lucid Air Dream Launch Edition and experience the new Lucid Studio at Tysons Corner Center outside of the DC-metro area. It features a 4K Virtual Reality Experience Configurator for customers to personalize their vehicle from exterior hues to interior material selections, all inspired by and named after specific cities in California such as Santa Monica, Santa Cruz, and Tahoe.
I had the pleasure of a spirited test drive around Fairfax County in a 2022 Eureka Gold Lucid Air Dream Edition. Sorry, all 520 units have been claimed by forward thinkers! Expect a starting price of $169,900 and a blazing fast 2.42 second 0 to 60 mph time. The vehicle's design is exquisite and its performance is magnificent. Depending on packaging, the top output is an astonishing 1,111-horsepower and 520 miles of range with 19” wheels. Lucid was going for efficiency during the product planning process, but performance became the byproduct.
In addition to the Dream Edition, the Lucid lineup includes the $77,400 ($69,900 with available federal tax credit) Lucid Air Pure, the $95,000 Lucid Air Touring, and the $139,000 Lucid Air Grand Touring.
