La Massa crítica vol reivindicar per unes hores i un cop al mes, que els carrers podrien ser més oberts per a tothom, més pacífics, i demostra que hi ha gent que per perdre 2 minuts, 3 minuts, 5 minuts, es pot tornar boja i perdre els nervis, digne d'estudi.
La MASSA CRÍTICA és un esdeveniment que es realitza cada mes a diferents ciutats del món. És una sortida mensual en bici per reclamar els drets del ciclista i promoure un model de ciutat sostenible. Tambè oberta a rollers, skaters i qualsevol altra forma de desplaçar-se que comparteixi aquesta idea.
No és una manifestació ni una organització, només persones, homes o dones, joves o gent gran anat en bicicleta. Tampoc és una cursa. És una manera d’establir un espai públic on les persones puguin reunir-se, i coneixe’s.
És reclamar aquell espai a la calçada que el cotxe ha usurpat en aquests anys.

La MASA CRÍTICA es un evento que tiene lugar todos los meses en numerosas ciudades del mundo. Es una salida mensual en bici para reclamar los derechos del ciclista y promover un modelo de ciudad sostenible. También abierta a skaters, rollers o cualquier otra forma de moverse que comparta esta idea.
No es una manifestación ni una organización, sólo personas, hombres o mujeres, jóvenes o personas mayores montando en bicicleta. Tampoco es una carrera. Es una manera de establecer un espacio público donde la gente pueda juntarse, reunirse y conocerse.
Es reclamar ese espacio en la calzada que el coche ha usurpado en estos años.

-Retrats ciclistes-
Dins de les activitats dels 30 dies en bici Barcelona, els fotògrafs Xavi Calvo @calvox i Sergi Periche @sergiperiche ens unim per realitzar un projecte fotogràfic anomenat 'Retrats ciclistes' on descubrirem diferents perfils de persones ciclistes, on la bici gira al voltant de la seva vida, ja siguin ciclistes de tota la vida o de fa un any, urbans o esportius, mes o menys actius, sense importar sexe o edat.

Hoy nos hemos citado en plaza Universidad, concretamente en los jardines de la
Universidad de Barcelona, con Laura Burbaite ciclista y profesora de yoga. Nació en
Lituania de donde se fue cuando tenía 18 años. Ahora lleva más de 11 años en Barcelona
donde da clases de yoga, también orientadas a ciclistas. Desde pequeña quiso tener una
bici pero sus padres no se la pudieron comprar y no fue hasta el año 2005, viviendo en
Dublín, cuando su pareja le regaló su primera bicicleta. Allí también conoció a un grupo
ciclista con quienes se aficionó del todo a la bicicleta. Entramos en el parque, nos ‘aislamos’
un poco del ajetreo urbano, buscamos posición y empezamos a disparar y charlar.
1.- Por qué has escogido este sitio?
Es un sitio especial por las diferentes plantas que hay y por ser un lugar muy central y
tranquilo. La plaza también me gusta por su movimiento. Pero aquí hay algo energético. No
sé explicarlo muy bien. Tiene algo.
2.- Por qué te gusta ir en bici?
Me siento muy libre, puedo parar cuando quiera, libre de elegir por donde ir, no siempre
hago las mismas rutas. El metro no me gusta, no me gusta ir apretada con la gente. Ir en
bici es un ejercicio al aire libre. Además con el clima de Barcelona es un placer. Es como la
meditación también, se asemeja un poco, en bici tienes que estar en el aquí y el ahora. Solo
veo beneficios. Puedes aparcar donde quieras. Si vas a trabajar y estás sentado todo el día
y además llegas en coche, moto o metro te vas como durmiendo y si coges la bici, circula la
sangre y estás como despierto. Es como sano y libre.
3.- Has tenido alguna mala experiencia?
Me atropelló un taxi cuando vivía en Dublín. Yo tenía preferencia de paso y el taxi pensó
que podía ir más ràpido que yo, no calculó bien mi velocidad y choqué contra él. Me hice
daño en la zona lumbar, estuve ingresada en el hospital y no pude caminar durante casi dos
meses. Fue una recuperación muy larga ya que era muy doloroso. No sabía si podría volver
a subir a una bici. Pero al final lo hice. Todavía tengo la lesión, por eso empecé a hacer
yoga para poder mejorar mi cuerpo y evitar el dolor y he aprendido a usar mi cuerpo de
manera que no me moleste la lesión.
4.- Conocías la iniciativa de 30 días en bici?
-Me lo explicó un amigo pero yo voy en bici los 365 días. No hago ciclismo de distancias
largas. Cada día voy de Sants a Urquinaona y vuelvo. Siempre voy en bici si no está la
rueda pinchada. Pero yo misma la puedo cambiar y estoy orgullosa de esto. De noche
cuando salgo de fiesta, también cojo la bici. Y llevo dos candados. La bici bien atada
siempre. Ya me robaron dos bicis.
5.- Vas a participar en la iniciativa?
-Los días que estoy en Barcelona seguro que sí, aunque una semana me voy a Ibiza. Si no
me fuera de viaje seguro que participaría todo el mes de Abril. Me parece una buena
iniciativa y me parece muy bien que más gente coja la bici, sobretodo para los que ya
vamos en bici y que así haya más conciencia por parte de todos y también más conciencia
de llevar una vida sana y reducir contaminación.
6.- Cómo ves la convivencia con coches y con peatones?
Siempre hay problemas pero intento tener una actitud positiva, no ir con prisa, no ir
corriendo. Siempre intento dejar pasar a los peatones, aunque no tengan preferencia y
sonrío, para dar buena sensación, generar buen rollo. Es muy agradable cuando dejas
pasar a alguien y se sorprende y te sonríe. Es ver que coches y peatones no son
obstáculos, también son personas que quieren llegar a algún sitio como tú. La mayoría de la
gente se queja de las bicis, de los coches, pero los hay educados que te dejan pasar y lo
agradeces. No todos son iguales.
7.- Relacionas de alguna manera el yoga con ir en bici?
Como muchos profesores de yoga, tengo clases en varios lugares diferentes de Barcelona y
la bici es mi vehículo para llegar. Tienes mucha más flexibilidad y libertad. Muchos
profesores que conozco van en bici. No tengo ni carnet de conducir.

While First Bus leads in volume terms on the electrification of the Leicester bus fleet, both Arriva and Centrebus have smaller numbers of such vehicles. Arriva's so far are Wrightbus StreetDeck Electroliners, which are now in service after some delay caused by infrastructure issues. Unlike the First examples, these are low-height models and I believe were the first Electroliners to be built like that.
The green livery is that of the Leicester Buses partnership, which seems to be delivering good things and comes with claimed significant patronage increases via vehicle investment from operators and local authority efforts that include priority measures, real-time stop displays, multi-operator ticketing and so on. That is salient lesson against a political backdrop that increasingly holds franchising as the only worthwhile reform avenue for bus services, something that had loudened considerably since the coming of a Labour government, although how such widespread franchising is to be paid for remains a mystery. Here 8012 (BK73 AED) passes Leicester railway station while working a 48 to South Wigston.

1991 - die Einführung des Katalysators in Serienfahrzeugen und der Kinofilm "Zurück in die Zukunft" liegen gerade einmal sechs Jahre zurück - summt der Golf II "City Stromer" beinahe lautlos durch die damalige Gegenwart. Ein alltagstauglicher Versuchsträger mit künftig selbstverständlichen Antriebsgenen, dessen Kleinserie jedoch zunächst den großen Energieerzeugern vorbehalten sein soll. In private Hände geraten die nur 120 gebauten "City Stromer" erst nach dem Ende ihrer offiziellen Einsätze. Die 27 PS des Drehstrom-Synchronmotors beschleunigen das Auto auf völlig ausreichende 100 km/h, "getankt" wird über Nacht an der Steckdose. Danach geht es wieder auf die Straße, 40 bis 70 Kilometer Reichweite schafft der "Stromer", je nach Witterung und Einsatzgebiet. Das gefällt selbst im Hier und Jetzt.

The National Park Service installed (3) huge banks of solar panels to provide green energy to the North Manitou Island National Park. The solar panels charge batteries that provide electricity to the entire village area. In the Fall, when the requirements are higher, a supplemental generator is run on occasion.
Now all we need is a little sun!!!
