Plains zebras have a wide range in east and southern Africa. They usually live in treeless grasslands and savanna woodlands and are absent from deserts, rainforests, and wetlands. This species’ habitat is shrinking, however, and plains zebras are now extinct in Burundi and Lesotho.
A zebra marraige---a blending of the stripes. You can almost feel the love between these two magnificent animals

This one is an actual zebra taken at Melbourne Zoo and not a close up of the Makatron Zebra that I uploaded a couple of photos ago.
The two zebras at the Oregon Zoo were standing pretty close to the viewpoint at their enclosure, and just happened to be standing like this. I couldn't help but take a photo. Zebras are just too damned awesome!

In photoshop...I took a shot of a single Zebra and got rid of a really ugly chain link fence in the background. Then, I duplicated and reversed a copy, blending the 2 images as convincingly as I could, toning down the background because it had lots of blown out highlights from the direct sunlight. I finished up by doing the usual enhancements, burning, dodging, shadows & highlights, and then a tiny bit of ortonizing. Thanks to all who have left such kind comments, I appreciate them greatly.
