Nairobi National Park, kenya. This park is about 5 miles outside the city of Nairobi. It is filled with wild animals.
It is still dry season and the veld and Zebras almost created a B&W image.

We made a brief visit to the Niagara Butterfly Conservatory during our trip to Niagara Falls last year. Although it was unusually crowded, I managed to capture a few photos of some butterflies.
Zebra battles are common on the plains of Africa. A determined stallion has to prove he has the right stuff, before he can mate with a female. He may need to fight.

I'm impressed that the Canon 200-400 with the 1.4x picked up the whiskers and eye lashes on this zebra's face so clearly.

Early morning light over the dry and dusty Africa’s grassland, adds an outstanding element to this Zebra image.
Hope you will enjoy this shot.

During my first African safari I was confined within my 4x4 vehicle for most of the time. Even if it was an incredible experience, I wanted a taste of walking safari. This activity provides a closer contact with animals, but also requires more time at your disposal.
The best I could manage at the time was to overpay a local ranger for a short hike over the edge of Ngorongoro crater. Beside the great view, the only encounter we made was with a group of zebras. As we got closer, they became aware of our presence and slowly started to fade away.
This guy was the bravest in the group, and we spent several minutes in a chasing game. He finally gave a last glimpse to the weird guy who was stalking him with a camera, before disappearing into the bushes.
The zebra finch is native to central Australia. I took this at the Butterfly Place in Westford Massachusetts.
