for a guarded mind brings happiness.

'On This Day' 6 April 2014 I was over in Perth for some MH370 S&R visitors spotting, but on this night, was the first flight of the current livery for Air New Zealand B772 ZK-OKC - can you believe its been 10 years!!!
Here we have Qantas Freight B737-300F VH-XML in front, with Toll, Pacific Blue and Virgin Australia B737's sitting in the late night awaiting their next flights

Our Daily Challenge: A PLACE I'D LIKE TO VISIT
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class XML-15A 19861 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in September 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in November 1967 by Pullman-Standard, it was one of 35 cars in the 19840 - 19874 number series equipped with Equipto bulkheads. This car was stenciled (below the Exceeds Plate C circle): WHEN EMPTY RETURN TO AGENT PC RR EVANSVILLE IND indicating it was assigned to Whirlpool Corporation.
Today is one of my co-worker's birthday and our Project Manager and Department Admin had this XML cake made for her.
This won't be the slightest bit humorous to you unless you do work in enterprise software development.
UPDATE: this pic got dugg. My department's done a couple more computer nerd birthday cakes for other people after this one. You can see them here and here and here.

Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class XML-8 10211 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in January 1981, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following description is from the book, CB&Q Color Guide To Freight And Passenger Equipment, by Michael J. Spoor, and although it applies to a later series of cars, the Official Railway Equipment Register (October 1971) gives this series of cars (10200-10214) the same dimensions as the series described in the book:
"The Q returned to Pullman in 1965 for 55 more auto parts cars, # 10215-10269, which were designated XML-8. These cars had 10' sliding doors, Evans DF2 belt rails, and Hydroframe 40 cushion gear. Most of these cars were assigned to various divisions of General Motors.". Some of the cars were assigned to Libby Owens Ford Glass Company in Ottawa, Illinois. At the time of this photo, this particular car carried placards indicating it contains glass. The diagonal stripe on the door indicates that Evans DF2 belt rails are installed. It is stenciled: New 7-65 Exceeds Plate C. These 15 cars in the CB&Q 10200-10214 series became BN #'s 355135-355149.

Northern Pacific Railway XML 1303 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following is from the book, NP Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment, by Todd Sullivan: NP Series 1300-1305 - Northern Pacific had only 26 60-foot boxcars on its roster, and those arrived fairly late in the NP's history. The first group of six cars was built by Pullman-Standard in November 1966, and received the standard boxcar paint and lettering of that time: mineral brown and white lettering, 5 foot 6 inch NP initials shaded in black to the left of the door, and the 8 foot Northern Pacific Railway herald to the right of the 10 foot door.

My own interpretation of my simple cat (diagram here = www.origami-shop.com/chat-nicolas-terry-diagramme-gratuit...)
After some tests shaping the muzzle and change the size of the head, I wanted to know what's happen with a graft on the head to bring details. I noticed that with a specific widh, the graft bring a nice color change on the body with the possibility to shape back legs. Then I worked on the muzzle, rearranging the layers to discover more possibilities. I liked a lot one way where I pull out a trapped layer to create a kind of collar and make free some flaps for the ears. This collar give me the idea to transform the cat into a tomcat. But something was missing still on the head. So I played with the layers to bring more details, make 3D the ears and create the mustaches. The hidden back flap was used, not to create the second back legs like I did at right side, but to create the left front leg. And Voila, the Tomcat was born.
I tested several papers to fold it.. I wanted a visible change of color. I tested first on Unkashi Hanairo paper (a Gray/ light brown kraft with fur texture). Then, I wanted rather a white collar with fur texture for the white part. So my second choice was to use a white Unryu.
This thin paper is slightly transparent so we can't glue on a foil (so no washi deluxe for example). Tissue-foil could be a good choice but this model doesn't need foil for the shaping. On contrary an heavy paper bring thickness so the shadows under the mustache could be highlight. Kinumomi and Elephant paper could be good choice for that. But I wanted a more textured paper. So I choose the Octa paper.
About the color, the dark brown color make the white fibers visible. More over, It softens the brilliant whiteness of unryu.
