Have I told you lately that I love you? Oh, I told you yesterday? I don't know what I did before you came into my life. Things were slow, very slow. Downloading, moving from site to site, turning on and off. Now life moves at lightning speed. It makes my head spin, but in a good way. I love how fast I can get things done and your memory is mega-bytes better than mine. I love that you're mobile and your kinda sexy too. Please never leave me. I would just die.

Visiting my sister's home over Thanksgiving, I took this pic with my XF 60mm macro. Close-up shots help me realize there's an entire world of geography and color before our eyes if we just look closely enough. This photo is not processed, and I love the colors from my X-T1.

I write in my profile that I am an editor. In this role I have occasion to hire people to help produce magazines. These sometimes include photographers.
On the magazine currently in production, I have attempted to make contact with three separate "photographers" in various parts of the province. Some are on Flickr, others on FB or other combined social media. On all three occasions nothing has come of it.
I suppose my advice to those interested in hanging out a 'shingle' is do not call yourself So-and-So Photography unless you intend to a) reply to email queries, b) follow up to potential business leads, c) frequently check messages on the social media you are posting your photos to, d) understand copyright, and e) take yourself seriously.
I have developed a successful business relationship with a photographer on Flickr so that makes up for this string of bad karma. Whew!
About 3 years ago I've started to write a book...now it's in my desk's drawer, incomplete...
Uhm, I Should restart to write, I Think...
Then, I will write some more, and keep on writing till I rest, then I'll proceed with writing and write again after that. Then after a pause, writing will continue, writing again.

Unfortunately, I don't have much time to write right now. I've got to wake up at like 5:15 AM and get ready to go to a town four hours away for out run-out concert.
My friend, Molly, got to go see Phantom of the Opera last night in NYC. Her aunt happens to be friends with someone in the show, and they got to not only see the show but get a sneak peek backstage and everything. I can't exactly hide my envy, however I am uber excited that she got to do this!
Hopefully this summer, I can get up to New York and see the show for myself. :). It's in my plans, but not set in stone obviously... Unfortunately! Haha.
Anyhoo, since I've heard he stories and all I've been in Becca's Phantom World.
I will just say... Phantom World is a VERY special place.
One: It's impossible for me to stop singing and humming the show's music. And might I add that I know this music all too well. I've only seen the movie about 300 times, and listened to the soundtrack probably about 2,000 times, all the way through. I know this music better than anything else on this planet - no joke.
Two: Another perk of Phantom world: I can't stop watching the scenes in my head. I've seen it so much and know it so well that I simply can watch the movie at any time that I want to by simply thinking about it. And not just select scenes... the whole thing.
Three: The downside... The constant want and desire and worry about getting to be a part of the Broadway show. One of my two biggest dreams (and this would probably be the most serious one), is to play in the orchestra pit for Phantom on Broadway. It seems unattainable, but it's what is.
"Hard as Lightning, Soft as Candlelight" is a lyric line in The Music of the Night in Phantom of the Opera- but in the Original London Cast Recording (not the movie, don't be mistaken). I was listening to it for the 17th time today and the words stuck out to me.

Probably because it was the Sister's 35th Anniversary and it was an homage to the Wizard of Oz. The lawn in front of the stage was filled with red-paper poppies. There were several 'Cowardly Lions", many "Glenda the Good Witch", a couple of 'Bad Witches" including one on a bike...a very young 6-year old Judy Garland passing out Giradelli Chocolate, an awesome Scarecrow of indeterminate sex, a few Tin Men (and one obviously Tin Woman), and even a couple of 'munchkins'...yes, real little people. Though, ADDA DADA is happy to report that there were no Flying Monkeys.
