Writing on typewriters really forces you to think more conciously about what you write. You're somewhat more careful as you thoughtfully enter each character to paper.
I found that during the short time using this classic tool, that i felt more connected to my work. It's akin to writing with a pen as opposed to typing on a computer.
In observing the device itself, i couldn't help but notice the craftsmanship put into the machine, something which is rare in the this age in time. It just doesn't have that production line feel. It feels like someone made it with thought, planning and skill.
I thought I might write something about leaving lockdown but I know nothing about that, or Boris's Pa needing to Covid-secure his pad-for-rent in Greece before the holiday season ... there's a 'get out of jail free' card for all holiday rental companies (and free promotion for him), but I've given up any concept of the 'commonweal'. What I did do was put on white leggings to try under a dress, however, they did not work together. Rather than take the leggings off, I decided to get out some things that teenagers might have worn a few years back before going clubbing (or church, you choose!)
I then changed into the dress I wanted a photo of (later) and had a nice videocall with Pamela.
