Despite having just returned from the USA on Friday the body clock (and brain) clearly were out of sync and, no doubt the alternative of watching the endless Eurovision Song Contest on tv resulted in a sudden decision to drive up to Berwick-upon-Tweed and the Scottish border just a couple miles beyond.
The purpose was to see newly-overhauled Class A3 pacific No. 60103 Flying Scotsman working a charter from York to Edinburgh, this being a return to Scotland for the first time in many years and certainly the first time a BR green-liveried A3 has been seen there since 1964.
In the event the charter was running a little late and it was 19.30 before the A3 steamed across the Royal Border bridge over the River Tweed....but disaster...there was a slight breeze from the north-east and the smoke was blowing down all the way across the viaduct. Fortunately it must be a little more sheltered towards the north end and the smoke cleared over the northern three arches!
After a water stop at Berwick-upon-Tweed the train departed north to the Scottish capital soon after 20.00 but much of the line along the North Sea coast was in shadow and the slight breeze resulted in nothing worthwhile.
It remains to be seen if Berwick-upon-Tweed becomes the new 'Checkpoint Charlie' where all passengers and trains are searched (or turned back) should England decide to leave the EU next month as Scotland have decided to remain in the EU!

Main story

until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me, a guy filled with ambiguous, unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

day eighty-five. gosh i've been tired today. i just want to sleep. i managed to write four essays. still two more to go? plus pre-cal test friday. spelling test tomorrow. english project tomorrow, or friday. orchestra honors credit to do that i've had no time to even begin. ap psychology test tuesday. blergh. i don't even know what that is. but that's how i feel. times ten. plus a little padfijaqpeoqew';aj;f.

(p.s. i somehow pulled my shoulder/blade w/e i don't know, but i pulled something out of socket when i took this photo, and you can tell where it's dented in. it hurt.)

Main story

I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.

she left, how many times did I depend too much on her, doubt her, envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me, a guy filled with ambiguous, unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.
Now I finally can convey how I felt in those days when we met.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

その段階ですでに加工している、と僕は考えています。
なので、フォトショップは使ってくださいね。

と、その前に、昔ながらのフィルム撮影の際だって、現像段階があります。
これが、
現像段階（写真を焼く）＝フォトショップ
っていう式ですよ。

フォトショップで、光や色彩をバランスよく加工するセンスが要求されるのだから、そんな屁理屈は失笑です。

ちなみに、僕は今日の写真のようにオリジナルはできるかぎりありのままに、撮影しています。
光の量は強調したりしますけど。
光や色彩をバランスよく撮っていないと、フォトショップの編集の際も加工に耐えられないと僕は感じています。
なので、きょうの写真のように、『普通』が基準になっています。

I can't be arsed to write an elaborate description. It's a PDW chambered in .44 Magnum, and semi-auto only because Allah wills it and the fire selector was a headache lol. Feeds from a twenty-rounder magazine. Has a short barrel with a compensator (seen here) or a long barrel with a flash hider (see link below). It can also come in .357 Magnum and .30 Carbine but all the pics are in .44 Magnum because .44 is much more radical.

Wew lads, I actually built a thing. What a miracle. Really, this build's entire existence was a result of work hazard and I had no idea what I was doing the whole time. I got really goofy with pretty much everything, although it came out mostly satisfactory for me except for the mag and stock. I got especially lazy at those.
Lots of credits to Deii, whom had built the entire receiver area of the gun (which I ended up heavily modifying).

Ummon composed a verse:

The first two lines look like mere perverse contradictoriness, but this is not so. In actual daily experience, or rather, in monthly and yearly, not to say lifely experience, it is always the unspoken intention that is effective, not the words which follow.

I got tagged by queen! :)
The rule is I have to write 11 things about me.. It's the second time that I got tagged so I think I have to play it this time..
11 THINGS:
1. I prefer to be called Ruch instead of my real name because many people would misidentify me as a woman. I usually encounter it from people calling me on the phone without letting me to speak first. Later, they will tell me sorry for associating to my name the word 'Miss'.
2. In my work, I deal with things that cannot be seen directly (thanks to the inventor of oscilloscope) which is really ironic with my interest in photography, which deals with things that can be appreciated with the use of our visual sense.
3. I created a poem called the ASIC Engineer's Perspective of Love a year ago, a very corny (corny pa sa mais) poem that my teammates asked me to make. It is a 9 stanza poem, 4 lines per stanza that relates ASIC stuffs to love love (yeaaahhhh..). They asked me (again) to arrange it so they can sing it but I refused, reasoning that it cannot be played on radio.
4. I can make my ears move independently, up and down. I know that this is not unique to me but I am just happy I was able to learn it. I can sense that you are trying to make your ears move right now..hmmm...? :)
5. My favorite snack is noodle with egg and dip skyflakes crackers while the noodle soup is hot. The canteen crews know that..
6. I got addicted to guitars before getting addicted to photography. But I ain't rockstah. I prefer to play acoustic and classical music.
7. My all-time favorite album is Eric Clapton's Unplugged. I have a cassette tape of this album but never had a CD copy.
8. I prefer to stay home during weekends not until I became interested in photography. Now, if I cannot shoot during weekends, it will be a big conviction to myself that I will suffer the whole week 'coz I don't have something to edit and post during weekdays.
9. Before learning the basics of photography, I learned first how to use Photoshop using online resources. It was three months later that I started reading magazines, books and online resources that talks about photography.
10. I want to attend one of Steve McCurry's workshops and join him on one of his expeditions. His works amaze me, big time! A great photographer.
11. I am happy that "things about me" stuff was down to 11 from 16. Now, I only have to think ten (10) things instead of 16. ;)

I have to say that flickr is really pissing me off.
It took me over 3 hours to comment back on my last image. Try clicking on a name, then click again to open the image, then go back on your browser. It stops and has to load that person's stream before you can navigate onemore page back to your own and then on to the next one.
They need to get their act together as one does not want to take that long to respond.
