Hosted by the Writing Center and Library, students hung out for a "write in" party on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Students were offered assistance with final papers, guidance on citations, while the room was filled with stress relieving stations, such as movies, dance zone and snacks.
After going nuts from writing for the last several months Wendy has decided to spend her days writing at different spots in town. Sometimes the coffee shop other times the health food store.
Had a lovely walk across the heath, through Greenwich Park and down to the Old Royal Naval College this morning, and found...this.
It's not quite as traumatic as it may seem - it's part of a set for filming that's going on there at the moment, for 'Thor 2.' Great being able to walk around the edge of it all and have a good nose around! It really makes you realise the huge amounts of effort that go into what are probably insanely short scenes in a film.

Many of you know my boyfriend is one of those artisitic, creative types (actor/writer/singer/songwriter). I've always found his method of writing fascinating. He writes lyrics of songs (and/or stories if it's not music) in bits and pieces and posts them on the wall till it's done. Sometimes the pages hang there for months until the right words find their way on there.

The "Write" Stuff Literacy, Writing, and Research Festival, an interactive two-day event focusing on how research impacts writing and storytelling at the National Archives in Washington, DC, on July 7 & 8, 2017.
ART.WRITE.NOW Tour, a selection of works from the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, is currently on exhibit in our Swigert Commons! The exhibit represents a small sample of the Alliance’s annual national exhibition, which in 2011 showcased more than 600 works from teens in grades 7 through 12.
The ART.WRITE.NOW Tour is central to the Alliance’s mission to provide recognition for creative teens and to highlight the value of arts education," said Virginia McEnerney, Executive Director of the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. "The exhibition gives visitors a body of top-notch art that we hope will inspire them to appreciate creative teens for their maturity, talent and originality."
This exhibit is amazing, and is well worth the trip to PNCA if you are in Portland!
Write this down wanted some promos done and I wanted to try to use my fog machine. It was much more difficult than I thought to get the fog to show. I probably should have used some lights in the front but not shining on them to just shine through the fog cuz the front is a little bare. ANd believe me the room was literally loaded with fog. SO much we could taste it! haha it was a good experience.
Anyhew they wanted really dramatic and tough looking. For my first time with the fog machine it went well. KUDOS to their tour manager for being the fog sprayer!!

You will notice I occasionally use the somewhat accepted (but normally rejected) reflexive prounoun 'themself' in my comments and posts.
Why??
Because our politically correct society no longer accepts, or even understands, using gender specific pronouns such as 'himself' to refer to a group containing both genders.
Just another example where by trying to avoid offending someone, we are making things more complicated, and must throw away the book.
(Dictionaries before the 1970s are becoming more useless all the time.)
