I dont think that the other bird is feeding her enough. He does feed her occasionaly, but she still leaves the nest fairly often to fetch food for heself, and leaves the eggs.

I used a cigar box for my worry box. It worked out ok. I mod podged the entire box with scrapbook paper, but I think painting would be better. Adding the paper made the dimensions different so I had to watch to make sure the lid would still fit, & the corners of the box didn't stick very well. I don't think students would want to mess with all those details. I will definitely go with paint with my girls.
