I have been worrying and over thinking so much these past 2 weeks that there are wear patterns on bits of my brain.
I laughed out loud when I saw this. It's the universe reminding me that I really am not in charge.

She finally likes me!!!! Forever she would run away or scratch me whenever i tried to pick her up, but a few days of intensive petting and talking to her and giving her the coveted 'people food' she came around!
If you're still capable of getting all the way down on the forest floor, there's nothing like it. Rolling around with the world of tiny things, keeping an eye out for what can shift your sense of scope. If some of these snowdrops are further from the ground than me, then maybe I can stop worrying about where I'm going so constantly. The world is big, there are massive distances and years to cover, and I can just as easily swap my scale for any other. These flowers bloom and die in a matter of weeks, but one of the trees in this grove could easily outlive me. It's taken my whole adult life just to scrape into the bottom rung of a decent living wage, but there are folks not far from here who live on the street. I don't think it's helpful for folks to dismiss a worry by simply saying: "You know, someone's got it worse." But in the balance of human desperation, we can always discover something to cling on to.

The dog was startled by my camera and the sound of the shutter. Like a human, the dog is unnerved by something he does not understand; I tried to capture his concern.
