As her hair is being set, her lower lip protrudes as she continues to comtemplate all the minutiae of her wedding plans. Thoughts turn to possible problems and how to ward them off before they ruin everything.
The ceremony is only five hours away and I haven't heard from everyone yet. Where's my phone, I better call them all, again, to be sure. What's one more round of calls when I've already checked at least four times this morning. After all, my wedding only comes once. . . .

Dominic had TONS of fun with me yesterday. The snow had started melting, so snowballs were made possible. Which, in turn, made snowball fights possible.
Catalina Bojorquez, (right) an SEIU Local 1 janitor who worked at the 63rd Street Chicago Police station for three years before being fired in June, is consoled by her co-worker Aug. 29, 2012 at City Hall in Chicago.
Bojorquez is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow for an ovarian tumor, something she will have to face without employer supplied health insurance.
She was there today to rally for the Responsible Bidder Ordinance, an idea that taxpayer money should go toward a company that is best qualified for the job, not necessarily the cheapest.
I'm actually still on vacation (coming to you live from a hotel room in Reno, Nevada today) but I'm posting this shot because as far as I'm concerned, I can't have too many handsome dog shots in my stream. This fellow -- a rather worried looking pug (then again, most pugs are) --- watches to guard the driveway of his home in Portland, Maine.
My grandmother had a pug years ago, and while she was a very sweet dog, the constant snuffle of her breathing sure did get on my nerves. I'd rather look at pugs than own one!
