Beginning to get the hang of watercolour, perhaps?🤔 Loosely copied from a photo. I've added a human figure lower right. There's a crossover between my fantasy/folklore interests and interest in ecology as I think our external forests and the internal ones of our imagination are both under threat.

"Octagonal work table veneered in exotic wood; hinged lid with octagonal mirror inside, revealing one central circular lidded compartment and eight wedge-shaped lidded compartments radiating around; on a triangular column carved with acanthus at top, with three square scrolling legs.
This worktable in Western style was designed by King Kamehameha IV of the Sandwich Islands. At the age of fourteen, Alexander Liholiho, as he was then called, had travelled to Europe and met Prince Albert. Later, during his reign, he was keen to combine British manners and behaviour with native Hawaiian culture. This worktable similarly combines Pacific materials with British design. King Kamehameha died in 1863, the same year that Prince Albert died. This table therefore, was a personal gift from one widowed Queen, Queen Emma, to another, Queen Victoria.

King Kamehameha is notable for his unification of the Hawaiian Islands in 1810, becoming Hawaii’s first king. He ruled until his death in 1819.

Tasting Artizn’s tonic of handmade aged Korean vinegar and fresh fruit juices, and then Apple State Vinegar’s ginger and Hawaiian chili shrub poured with fizzy water, I realized almost unconsciously how narrow an experience it is to drink sodas that are only sweet. Remember the first time you had sea salt on chocolate? Or salted caramel? Sourness, so often isolated, is really essential to a full enjoyment of anything sweet. This argument found its finest point in Element’s blueberry-rosemary shrub, which, when mixed at a ratio of one ounce shrub to five ounces seltzer, tastes precisely like I always imagined fresh spring water did in C. S. Lewis’s Narnia books.

The same guide in the orange shirt stands at the center of the shop floor, mid-gesture, clearly deep into explaining how one of the flat-bed presses works. A heavy black steel table anchors the foreground, its surface scattered with proofs and papers from a recent run. Behind him, the shop opens into its full depth, shelves and pigeonholes crammed with rolled paper, boxed supplies, and stacks of finished prints leaning against every available surface. A row of pendant lights marches down the ceiling, each one throwing a warm pool onto the concrete and wood below. Colorful posters lean against furniture at floor level, waiting to be picked up or filed away, adding bursts of color to the otherwise industrial palette of steel and brick. It's a candid mid-sentence moment that captures the shop not as a static display but as a place where work is actively happening around every visitor who walks through.
I love this chessboard writing worktable. Worked well for me during a critical period in one major project.

Despite the fact that I am usually home all day during the week, I still feel like there is nothing more exciting than a free weekend with which to explore creative ideas.
I got a drafting table to use as a desk/worktable. It is great, because the height is adjustable and the top tilts. The wheel under the window is my black walnut 30" N. hall saxony.

Some of my vintage sewing books are under the worktable. The rest of my sewing/crochet/kniting books are in a bookshelf in this room. They share space with some of my 600+ cookbooks!
Mmm... delicious :D The green one is my favorite so far, so different than all the others. None of them are frosted yet.
This is the waist high table my husband built for me. It's perfect for working at without having to bend over. I can also fit several bins and supplies under it as you can see.
The pads on the table are chux or adult incontinent bed pads. They work great for dyeing and can be reused once they are dry if you spill anything on them. These two will be used several times. Get them at Walmart in the health department for less than $10 a package.
