In the 18th century, dressing tables and tea tables in the latest London style signified the importance of fashion and social ritual in daily life. After 1790, a greater emphasis on education for women inspired American cabinet makers to introduce the lady's secretary, piano, and worktable. Portraits combined the documentary and the interpretive as they reflected a woman's social position, identity, and accomplishments.

Two Colors Pad Printing Machine for Shoe Heel

This is a project that I had on my mind (and worktable) for quite a long time! Thanks to Dal Lee, who encouraged me to show my Havoc, I finally got myself together to cut her hair and take the photos ; ).
For those who don't know, the original Havoc is a fashion doll from the Seventies and is closely related (not by blood but by manufacturing ; )) to Mary Quant's "Daisy". There are some great sites out there where you can find more info on the original doll.
I stumbled across the original Havoc many years ago and remembered her when Poppy Parker got into the "Lotta Danger" and "Girl from INTEGRITY" storyline. Since Lotta's arch enemy Sebina and her brother Sebastian are the Havoc siblings, it's pretty safe to think that David B. had Havoc in mind when her worked on Lotta.
To make it short: Havoc is a secret agent whose real name is not known and she works as a journalist (at least sometimes) while her true job is kicking the evil a**es all over the world. The backside of the doll packaging had some cool comics that showed Havoc in action and wow, this girl means business! She's great!
My own girl got a midnight blue lycra bodysuit with working zipper (completely sewn by hand, I went crazy with this outfit *lol*) and white boots. That's her standard battle suit. I made a 1/6 scale version of her pink shirt (from the motorcycle set), too, but haven't made the rest of the items yet (jeans, leather jacket and so on).
I'm not quite sure, if I want to make her more outfits based on her original ones, or not. The trehcncoat with red hat is iconic!
Big thanks go to my brother, who recreated the Havoc logo so I could complete the suit and to Dal Lee for giving me the needed push towards completing the project.

Finally got some proper use out of the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit and accessories I bought this summer. Been meaning to get the kit for a long time, but just kept pushing it off. Now I'm very happy I'd finally gotten it.
I got this set of Kenko extension tubes from a friend sometime this spring. They were basically flawless outwardly, and mechanically, but the 12mm and 20mm had electrical issues, where the 12mm was basically fully manual and the 20mm had some pins disconnected. Being stuck at home sick, I decided to go ahead and take a look at them. Turns out a connector part inside both extension tube bodies was slightly the wrong shape and wasn't making proper contact. After carefully bending them into shape, both of the rings now work fully and I have a complete set of the best extension tubes available for Nikon F. Very happy with the results, especially as the 12mm is the one I have the most use for, and was basically useless to me thus far.
Oh, and yeah, I got sick and unfortunately had to skip some days, because I just wasn't feeling up to it.
...that I was caught in a vicious cycle of cleaning lots of stuff, then getting it dirty with mortar, then cleaning it again, then getting it dirty with grout, then cleaning it again, and again, and again. It was truly a nightmare.
Oh NOOOOOOOO!!! It was REAL, and I'm still in it!!!!!....{=O

Do you know those picture of the work table, where all things are put minimalistic and beautiful... And, here is my work table. :D Cha cha. It's chaos here. I really want to fix it. But I haven't where put all item, which I started to make, and not finished yet. And I have a lot of those items. :D
I really hope, I‘m not alone is slattern (if it right word). :D

"My work is deeply rooted in the desire to maintain control and find structure within chaos. This need for predictability and order comes, in part, from my experience with chronic illness. Though I’ve lived with an auto-immune disorder for many years, a flare up in 2020 caused a major shift in my ability to create new work. Now, standing at a worktable or gripping a paintbrush can be doable for short periods of time or nearly impossible. I may paint for hours one day only to find myself bed-bound the next. These and other limitations made the possibility of continuing to work in pointillism questionable.
A gradual and meditative process, pointillism requires time, patience, and a steady hand. When I became unable to sit for long periods of time or maintain a strong grip, it was clear that I needed to find ways to work within the constraints of my changed body.
I started keeping a visual diary in the form of daily paintings. Each journal entry reflects my ability for that day – sometimes several hours, sometimes much less. It both marks time and acts as a form a data collection, tracking my progress through the year. Additionally, the predictability of daily journaling has been comforting in its regularity and is reflective of the work. Creating small, individual pieces that directly address my limitations is a form of acceptance. It is a way for me to stay connected to my body without giving up who I was."
This is the back of my latest Cleveland Foreclosure Quilt. I almost like the back more than the front at the moment and suspect some of these remnant fabrics will turn up in my next piece as well. As I cut into the front panels, this backing will be revealed almost looking like a black hole where the foreclosed lots are.

This one of a series of books made from the paper I place on my worktable. They form a diary of marks related to the period of time they are in place. Some have dates, this one does not. The paper here is a commercially bought handmade paper, the front nad back covers have been coated in beeswax to give them some strength.
This paricular book contains rust marks.
It has a tape binding, so all pages will open flat, the tape used is naturally dyed silk which has then been made into silk string which wraps around the book and is tied to secure it.
The book can either be left as an artist's book or you can enter into a collaboration with me

My wonderful husband helped me put the drawers together last night, and I drilled the holes for the drawer pulls today, and put the drawers in. Then it was time to start putting things IN the drawers! I got some shelves to put up above the worktable this afternoon, and hopefully I'll be able to put them up after school tonight, or after school tomorrow. I will be able to FINALLY straighten up my studio the rest of the way. And Fred can finally change her clothes. XD
The next big project is to rearrange the loft area, where I take the diorama-type pictures. So that will get disrupted a bit but I don't think it will take as long. I hope. :)

On my right as I sit at my main worktable is the "wall of stamps". My stamp storage space has doubled from what I had in my old space, which is a good thing because I had run out of space many, many stamps ago and have stamps stored in boxes and scattered all over the place. Although I really love the look of stamps stored on open shelves, I hate to dust so Iris carts work great for me even though it's not quite as decorative.
