How Timely! I walked across the east bound Chesapeake Bay Bridge today. It was lovely, The sun was bright and warming, the winds were calm. Sixteen thousand people quietly and peacefully participated. I loved this shot from my phone with the stair shadows on the concrete pillar, the tugboat pulling a barge, traffic on the other bridge and a glimpse of other participants.

There were a whole lot of pumpkins on the lawn of the church on Paddock Ave, yesterday, as I drove by. I decided to park the car, and get out to take some pictures. Everything was just so colorful. It was about 9:30 in the morning as I was driving by, from Wallingford, back to Meriden.

It was about 7 a.m. and I had to stop at the gas station to get some items in the store I took this image, hand held at 1/15 sec. at ISO of 500 with my Kit Lens, on my Pentax K-x body. The white balance was a little tricky, with the flourescent lights and it beeing so dark out. But fortunately it was shot in RAW. so it was easy to make changes.

The Citgo Food Mart Gas Station on Hall Ave. and S. Broad St. in Meriden, at a little after 7 a.m. Hand held at 1/25 sec. ISO 500. Usually a very busy gas station because of the location and the cheapest prices in town.

I am one of those people who just love Buicks. My Grandfather gave me his '71 Electra Limited when I was 17, and I was hooked. The power! The smooth ride. The Turbo 400 Trans, and of course that 455 c.i. Stage - 1 engine that growled under the hood. I was king of the road out there, in high school. There were only a handful of cars that could even come close to what I was driving. So now, 30 years later, I am still and will always be a Buick enthusiast.
This is a Macro pic of the pine tree branch that is growing in front of our garage. I thought the green and white made a nice contrast, and the overall sharpness of the image is pretty good. Winter in New England.

This was taken on Quinnipiac Avenue, in New Haven. I took it as I was leaving the Montowese Rehab Center, which is where my dad is at the moment. I Hope and Pray every day that he gets better and can return home, here, where he belongs.

I went into the Russian Cemetery on Westfield Rd., near the Golf Course, and couldn't see a thing. I had to use focus assist to help with getting a clear shot. I used a long 5 second exposure at f./6.3 and ISO 320 to capture enough light for this frame. Then, worked on the colors the best I could in Lightroom. It was only 18 degrees F. ouside. (28/365) Days Project.

On May 25th of 2015, a bunch of us got together to celebrate Memorial Day, as the Parade proceeded right by my sister's house. We had a really fun time on her porch, watching the annual parade go by, and waving to friends that we saw walking by.

A picture of Maloney High School, before most of the renovations began. This is what it looked like when I went to school there. I was in the Class Of 1985. But recently the school has been renovated to have three floors now. and a much bigger capacity for kids. I guess Meriden is getting larger in it's population.

I was brave enough to go out, and take a drive in storm Anna on Saturday, January 23, 2016. I needed to go to the pharmacy to pick up a refil on my dad's prescriptions. The roads were very slick, and I had them to myself, except seeing the occasional plow truck drive by. But, I made sure to grab my Pentax, before heading out the door. I chose to process this image in B & W, because I liked the way it looked, using NIK Silver Efex Pro 2, to do most of the editing for me. I love taking Blizzard and Snow shot's

At 12:30p.m. I went out to run a couple of errands, and remembered that this car was sitting by, where I happened to be. So, I went over and took a bunch of pictrues of this Pontiac Lemans 1974, in Meriden CT, over on Thorpe Ave.

CELLPHONE GALAXY S EPIC pic of some kind of old street box, that looks a lot like an old fire box. It says that it's high voltage and that it's used to house cables of some sort, brobably electrical. I thought it was cool because it's so old and rusty, and it sits on State Street, in Meriden. Which is where the city is revitlaizing the HUB, which is right across the street. The project seems to be coming along very nicely. and I'm sure the removal of this old box is in future plans at some point. So, I see it as a piece of Meriden's history. The train station is only a block to the South of here.

86/365 Days Project. A picture of the cloverleaf building that sits at the corner of East Main Street and Bee Street. About 30 some odd years ago, there was an old gin mill sitting here, before it was knocked down and replaced with this office bldg. The bar, was called, "The Cloverleaf".
I noticed this beautiful, Silver, Corvette, as we were walking to the beach, last June 2015. I think it's a C-6, and it just looks gorgeous. Looks to have a convertible roof, and some nice Corvette Chrome Wheels. I'm always a sucker for any nice car. Wish I could take this one for a spin. Taken In Clinton, CT USA.

Black Pond is on the Meriden / Middlefield line. It was pitch black outside at 6:40 a.m. I had the camera mounted to a tripod and used a 30 second esposure at f./ 5.6, with an ISO rating at 250. Pretty cool.
