Hybrid printing system:

A digital negative image appeared on a 6.08" monochrome 2K LCD (no backlight itself, originally used for a 3D printer), herein called "virtual negative", was successfully formed on cyanotype (or Van Dyke) photographic paper using an analog photographic enlarger (light source: 395 nm UV SMD). This virtual negative method differs in this respect from previous digital negatives on OHP film (contact printing) and analog negatives as attempted by group: www.flickr.com/groups/cyanotype_wenlarger/).

Image signal is output to the LCD via HDMI from a mini-PC (OS: Windows 10) with a built-in graphics board capable of up to 4K video output.

Due to differences in the aspect ratio capable of being processed in the PC (9:16) and the LCD (10:16), the digital image needs to be rescaled in advance with custom aspect on "Photo" Windows application.

As I was taking pictures of the Meriden Green, across the street. I took some test shots to set up my white balance and saturation settings on my K-x. Well this is one of the shots I fook. I couldn't believe how blue the sky was. Then I went on to photograph the Green.

The Fall of 2016 up here in New England. Taken with my Samsung Galaxy S4

I can't get over how well this phone takes pictures. So colorful, and sharp. Nearly as good as my DSLR. And the new Samsungs even shoot in RAW. Can you believe that? I know there was a big difference from the S4 and the S5 when it came out. The S5 having a 64 bit operating system, and all that good stuff. Crazy RAM. It even blows my computer away. My sister recently got the S7 Edge. Wow. what a truly amazing device. I've never seen anything like it.

Ravie de vous retrouver après 5 jours sans ordi (porté en boutique pour cause de passage en Windows10).

Cela commençait à me manquer, surtout que j'ai continué à faire des photos et je ne pouvais pas les voir en grand.

The faithful old Oki 14 laser printer, servant of a decade and a half finally decides to no longer co-operate following that nice Mr Microsoft's free update. No doubt a driver issue but in anycase after an hour or two I'm beat and after a couple of clicks along comes this spanking new Samsung CLP 680-CW laser. But criminey look at the size next to the oldun, Ok so it's got wifi printing which is a dream if a bit of a faff to set up. And crude colour but no way is it going to sit just under the desk anymore.

Leaving aside inflation it cost the same number of pounds as the old Oki. Happily we've still got the Windows 95 era box for our first inkjet Epson Stylus so it can be put on a shelf somewhere "just in case"

I took this pic with my Tamron 28-80mm f./3.5-5.6 lens. I really like the way this lens picks up the fine details and colors, in landscape shots like this one.

A very cool old Chevrolet from the 1960s. Photo taken at South Meriden Car Show in September of 2014. There were a lot of cool looking vehicles to look at during this show. I didn't attent as many as I wanted to this season. And thaking these types of images is my favorite type of photography. But I have a lot of old files from this show that I never developed or posted yet.

Windows 10. Do you know what that means? It means that theoretically, you can stream your Xbox on to this Windows 10 device which could be upstairs in the other room.

I'm so nerding out right now. Does anyone have any other cool facts about this? I haven't looked into it 100% but I am probably going to order one this month, since they run for $35.

On a beautiful day back in September of 2014, I went out to the car show in South Meriden, and took about 200 pictures. I had a lot of fun, talking to the owners of these magnificent vehicles, and spectators as well. Then I finished my tour at the Village Barn, and kicked back a few. I still like to go through some of the files from that day, and find one that I would like to work on tor a while. Well, more like an hour. lol. But this is my favorite part. Using all the cool tools on my PC to develop the RAW image files taken during the day.

Just created this out of boredom. Photos app is fun on Windows 10. Perhaps, the only exciting thing about the OS.

This was a very long exposure of 30 seconds. I walked into the frame for the last 10-12 seconds. It was pitch black outside, and I had a difficult time seeing through the viewfinder. I kind of went to infinity, then backed it off just a bit. since I was taking this at 18mm, I was just hoping for the correct focusing adjustments. I made very few adjustments in PS, other than cropping it to a square image, and lightening the shadow detail a little.

This image came out looking pretty nice, compared to the original file, after using Topaz Simplify to give it some oil painting features and fix the white balance. The shot was taken early in the morning, around 7a.m.

At the Pontiac Show in Wallingford, in May of 2015 in Wallingford. I tried a long exposure, with the lens shut down to f./ 18.0, using a tripod. I was using a small Gorilla Pod that sat low to the ground. But the image came out nice and clear with my long lens. I used my Tamron 28-80mm, film Lens to capture this Pentax Image.

It was 2 o'clock in the afternoon in September of 2014, as I attended South Meriden's First Annual Car Show. On this Sunday, I was lucky enough to have nice weather and bright sunshine, to get some really good images of these Classic Cars. I love shooting car shows, because the owners and spectators are so friendly and are willing to strike up a conversation about the car that they brought to the event. This Mustang looks to be a 71-72 model. Maybe a Mach-1, or Boss, looking at the hood. But I love these old cars cause I've driven so many of them when I was younger and in High School. They were much more fun to drive than any of today's offerings, and had tons of power to them.
