I was rather intrigued by the muzzle, (Hexaginal-Cannonballs?) of this thing, which was parked outside the entrance to the Military Musem in Peninsular Barracks, Winchester.
Unfortunatly I could not find anyone around who could tell me anything about it when I looked inside and I didn't have much time to investigate further.

While wandering near the visitor centre at Leighton Moss nature reserve, I spotted a pile of books in one of the windows. They looked inviting, and as a confirmed lover of books I thought it would make a good subject for a photograph

From an issue of Architectural Review in 1948 an advert for "Noral" alloys for window frames. As Northern Aluminium state they didn't make window frames but supplied companies who did.
Northern Aluminium were an offshoot of the Canadian concern of that name and had been set up in the UK in 1909 as a sales organisation. From a base in West Bromwich, where they made fastenings, in 1929/30 they also opened the works in Banbury mentioned here. An important producer of aircraft parts in WW2 they operated and latterly purchased the Rogerstone works in South Wales and by 1948 would have been looking for 'new opportnities" to seel alumnium in the post-war world. The use of steel and aluminium window frames in house construction had gained traction in pre-war years, sold on the basis of longevity as against timber ones, but some early versions were seen as being poor heat conductors in the days of single pane glazing.
Northern latterly became known as part of Alcan Industries. This colouful advert is rather jaunty!

Looking up at the Atlantic Hotel in Münster, the facade reveals a grid of angular white window frames - each one a slightly rotated or tilted variation on the same basic form. The three-dimensional quality of the frames means the sunlight catches some edges and leaves others in shadow, the whole surface alive with contrast.
I hate to toot my own horn but I love this photo! This photo represents art to me. Straight off the camera (Galaxy Note 4) with no filters or adjustments whatsoever.

Description
My photograph of a serene beach scene is framed by an off white window frame with multiple panes, offering viewers a vista of rolling waves reaching a sandy shore. The ocean's turquoise hues contrast with the pastel pink and blue of the sky early morning, while coastal homes perch on the cliff in the background.
Adding a window framed image to your wall can create a sense of depth, interest, light and openness to a room, especially a room where there are not many ..... or no windows.
For my Window Art images such as this one, I would recommend a Canvas or Metal Print. Should you wish the color of the frame altered to match your decor, please email me.

Enjoy a beautiful harbor scene whilst relaxing in your living room or kitchen, etc. Or, what a relaxing view for your office.
I believe specialist printers can also add the image to glass.
My photograph of yachts with colorful spinnakers sailing on Sydney Harbour. A partial silhouette of the Sydney skyline is visible in the background as is part of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I captured this image from one of the Sydney Ferries. It was a very windy day with a rich blue cloudy sky.

This harbor scene is also available without the window frame.
