My daughter recently bought me six cheeses imported from England. From left are Red Leicester, West Country Farmhouse Cheddar, Cheddar with Truffle and Double Gloucestershire Spring Onions and Chives. That however is only four- two have been eaten already- Wensleydale with Apricots and Oak Smoked West Country Farmhouse Cheddar. Excellent cheeses and these four shan't last long.

We're Here looks at Cheese today.

...shoot what you love.

So... yeah, I'm back to trees. And thanks to everyone who urged me to keep shooting. (Like I could stop.)

This great wild and spooky park is right downtown. The buildings and construction cranes are actually quite close. And yet... the wildness of this place makes the city feel like it looks here... miles away.

When your friend takes you to a cool Vaperwave Mall...you gotta play the claw machine!!!!

Loved this little button buck standing up on the hill with the big guy!

When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.

From about a month ago. Eva crashed out having a nap by the back door.

I liked how the light through the window hit her fur, which was slightly wet from the hose. I was also intrigued by her 'S' curve position, as opposed to her usual ball.

However the composition is unusual and it turned out looking 'best' when done high contrast like this. Still not sure if I truly like this or not as I think it gives off the wrong mood (sad instead of peaceful). Would love to hear some honest opinions about it.

when the cherry blossoms appear :-)

We got great clouds that afternoon when T&M visited.

i liked the first lot of snow, when it came before christmas and everyone was excited and it was like a white christmas.

now its like, just go away please.

'When I'm feeling blue, all I have to do, is take a look at you, then I'm not so blue' sang Phil Collins on his 1988 track 'A groovy kind of love'. It would seem this girl hasn't seen Phil in quite some time then. Given the somewhat derelict location where we deposited her it may be some time yet before she claps eyes on the great man.

As an aside I dearly hope putting those lyrics above has started an earworm for you. I know it has for me...

Cheers

Looks like sunset days are going to be here again.

Taken at the fishing village of Parit Jawa. Wanted to use my tripod but found that one of the screws had fallen off and the plate could not be tightened. There goes a tripod.

These have remained untouched since the previous owner died a few years back. All of this series were taken with the permission of the present owner.

The shop items date back to the 1930's, in the main.

my sister bought me this pig several years ago. she has survived so many seasons in the garden. but this year she lost one of her ears. from this angle you can't really tell . . . but that is her wing!

WHEN THE HARVEST IS IN... then, you know it is Autumn… here in Northern Europe at least.

All Summer you see the fields getting higher.

The fruit of the sweet corn plant is the corn kernel, a type of fruit called a caryopsis.

The ear is a collection of kernels on the cob.

Because corn is a monocot, there is always an even number of rows of kernels.

The ear is covered by tightly wrapped leaves called the husk.

Silk is the name for the pistillate flowers, which emerge from the husk.

Sweet corn occurs as a spontaneous mutation in field corn and was grown by several Native American tribes.

The Iroquois gave the first recorded sweet corn (called 'Papoon') to European settlers in 1779.

It soon became a popular food all over.

Another personal favourite, cannot say exactly why...

With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)

Just spent a couple of days in Paris.

Previously when I've been there, I've just enjoyed the beauty, whereas this time I spent a great deal of time being frustrated at how difficult it is to do any sort of justice to the incredible sights, or the mood of this great city, in a photograph. A difficult thing to capture indeed.

Additional footage that was taken during the filming for Good Morning Kimmey, was used here to produce this melancholy mood in When He's Gone.

Great photography requires dedication, time and effort.

But above all there are costs involved as well.

Equipment, props and model fees, not to mention time,

are all "out-of-pocket" expenses for the artist.

If you enjoy my photography, you might like to help to support my art.

I offer over 2 hours of great videos, including many

behind-the-scenes of some of my best photo sessions,

all artistically crafted for your enjoyment.

When I ordered my BrickCon badge I asked for my name and town I live in. Seems they spelled it wrong.

you bolt your sons Sigma 10-20mm lens onto your full frame camera, flip him upside down at the beach with his hands stuck in his pockets and tell him that heaven and earth are at the tips of his feet........surely it goes without saying, he takes all your camera gear, tells you your not to be trusted.....the 10-20 is a lethal weapon in the wrong hands and then goes on to be a professional photographer......that's what happens when.

just when you line up your shot someone comes along !............. crosby beach liverpool april 2011

Another Stagecoach in South Wales Service X24 photograph, taken in January 2013 on an afternoon after heavy snowfall in the valleys the previous night, which depicts Alexander Dennis Enviro300 27691 on Glyndwr Road, Cwmbran when heading for Blaenavon (if the roads were open)..

She and the other 13 in the batch remained at Cwmbran depot until replaced by "gold" standard E30Ds 27273-87 in November 2015, and is now based at Blackwood depot, primarily for Service 26 (Blackwood-Ystrad Mynach-Caerphilly-Cardiff).

When I do street photography, most of the times I don't ask for permission for a photo, especially if what I'm trying to capture are candid moments. Some other times though it is impossible to take a decent picture without your subjects noticing. In that case it's just a matter of seeming cool and relaxed when asking. Most of the times they allow you, maybe they just ask what is it for, but there you go, you're free to do. In this case, the whole group was cool with the idea but one guy, who isn't portrayed in the photo because he chose not to. And he would have given the photo another bit of contrast to this already heterogeneous group. Such a pity. And this is what I want to talk about today: we as photographers have to learn to accept rejection as a factor for gaining self confidence, ironically enough, for we need to learn to address it in order to get what we are after the next time.
