When driving home last night the sky was dancing in front of me. I didn't have good clothes, no flashlight, almost out of gas and had forgot my phone. It still seemed like a good idea to park outside the city and enjoy the show...
When I arrived early this morning, I was surprised to see this male. The sun had just barely hit the water at this moment to light up his face.
When I was in Brisbane, Australia, this past summer, I crossed the bridge to South Brisbane to catch this cityscape. The central business district lights against the Brisbane river and even looks great in black and white!

When I looked closely I noticed there was a doll of Shimura Ken's Bakatono just above the shopkeeper's left shoulder... When substantially all you have to photograph are Canada Geese and Mallard Ducks, that's what you photograph. Others will be along soon. It really is still just the very end of winter. Spring hasn't even taken its coat off yet.
In a month's time there will be many more bird opportunities, and in two months' time, lots of macro bird and insects. For now, we photograph the loyal creatures who have stuck with us all winter.
Despite the fact how airy & easy going I may sound in reality I’m semi-anxious individual who can’t calm down until the things get down at least somewhat perfect.

While dodging spots of rain, I managed to nab this shot of a Lake State Railway SD50-2 parked in Walbridge Yard. Wish I could've gotten closer.
When I was reviewing my photographs, I noticed some of the butterflies in the Huntsville Botanical Garden, Huntsville, Alabama (Madison County) had a beautiful blue sheen. I was pleased that I captured a few good images of the Blue Common Buckeye. 2017

The Blue Supermoon on the 30th August started being visible just on the side of the Sanctuary of Christ the King (“Cristo-Rei”), located on the south bank of the Tagus River. After a few minutes it was precisely located behind the statue.
This shot was taken from the north bank (Lisbon) at a distance of about 4km.
I had unsuccessfully tried to take this shot a few years ago. This time it worked! 😊

My house might be trying to stab me, slowly, in my sleep, based on what is occurring outside my bedroom window. 😲
And when he was alive, he asked me quite a few times to paint him. I kept saying no because I really don't want to paint people. But of course, after he died 6 months ago, I started thinking about it and began trying to paint him. I'm working off a photo I took of him some years back, a photo I always really loved. It was lit by one candle and he had Sammy, our first mini long hair doxie resting on his arm.
I know this isn't good, and it's the first and only portrait I will ever attempt. It's not finished yet but because today is Phil's birthday, I wanted to honor him and show him that I'm trying.
Sometimes, while working on this, my vision is a little blurry from tears in my eyes, so forgive the obvious imperfections. But it's coming from deep in my heart and soul.
Happy Birthday Oopie (yes, I called him Oopie) and I miss you so much. Now more than before even. I know today I'd normally be baking you a cake and giving you some goofy card to make you laugh. Obviously, that's no longer possible so I will settle for the memories, the good and the bad, and the fun and the sad and hope that where ever you are now, I will be one day also.

A lone backpack and cardboard mat with a large "Corn Flakes" box on the opposing side define some poor soul's home for the night. Yet the church, warm and comfortable, sits there all locked up hoping God is looking the other way. Maybe "Where the Doors are Locked" would be better.
