A sculpture exhibition at the Hayward Gallery, Southbank Centre.
This one is the work of Tara Donovan and is made out of hundreds of thousand of circles of Mylar which is a shiny, foil-like material, folded and glued together into these spherical "bouquets", which are then arranged into this final sculpture.

When you have no preconceived concept of what you want to create it seems as if the art at times creates itself.
Missouri Botanical Gardens, St. Louis. Colors are just starting to change in the area. The photography club met at the botantical gardens to see the color.
When walking around Neist point lighthouse it suddenly started to rain and saw this rainbow behind me and had to take a picture
When I've got to the field it was still a bit dull, so for the first hour things weren't so interesting, but I had the time to setup my gear. And then in around 10 minutes, just as the sun set, all the magic happened. It was gold at the begining, then it went to this gorgeous purple gold, then full gold again:
When I visit cities like Madrid, Tenerife, Shanghai, Miami, Naples, or right here in Barcelona, and I have my camera in hand, I can't resist taking photos like this one, where what triggered me to take it was the simple fact that it was a perfect outfit to tour Madrid. When I saw that blouse and that hat, my mind said, what style this girl has, and without further ado I capture her, always with the most sincere respect.

The Empire State Building was opened on May 1, 1931 and was the tallest building in the world at the time. It has a total height of 443.2 meters (including the antenna) and has 102 floors. The building is a New York City landmark and an iconic symbol of 20th century architecture.
It was completed during construction in the astonishingly short time of just 410 days and was the first building to have more than 100 floors. The Empire State Building's lighting is regularly changed for special occasions and celebrations, making it a dynamic and colorful part of the New York skyline.

Lion Rock
Hong Kong
Lion Rock or Lion Rock Hill, is a famous hill in Hong Kong. It is located between Kowloon Tong in Kowloon and Tai Wai in the New Territories, and is 495-metre high.
Lion Rock is famous for its shape and is visible from various places in Kowloon; its resemblance to a crouching lion is most striking from the Choi Hung and San Po Kong areas in East Kowloon. A trail wends its way up the forested hillside to the top, culminating atop the lion's head. The rock provides a beautiful view of the city and Hong Kong Island in the distance. The entire hill is located within Lion Rock Country Park in Hung Mui Kuk, Tai Wai and is made passable by vehicles by Lion Rock Tunnel, which connects Kowloon Tong and Tai Wai.
When I took the landscape photos, they came into the scene. It maybe called that I was in the right place and they were at the right time.
When we were leaving Mount Rainer National Park via Stevens Canyon, I had to stop for this panoramic view of the Cascade Range at sunset.

For a brief moment, the landscape reveals what is usually hidden.
High above the Ahr valley, the ruins of Saffenburg rise from a sea of fog. What emerges is not a castle alone, but a fragile balance between presence and disappearance, light and silence.
This series is not about chasing spectacular spots, but about patience, timing, and being present when the landscape decides to speak. Photohiking means walking with intent — slow enough to observe, focused enough to recognize the moment.

Hoch über dem Ahrtal taucht die Saffenburg aus einem Meer aus Nebel auf. Nicht als Monument, sondern als flüchtige Erscheinung – zwischen Sichtbarkeit und Verschwinden, Licht und Stille.
Diese Serie handelt nicht von spektakulärer Spotjagd, sondern von Geduld, Zeitgefühl und dem richtigen Moment. Photohiking bedeutet, mit Absicht zu gehen: langsam genug zum Wahrnehmen, wach genug, um das Bild zu erkennen.

When I saw this happening across the lake, I knew it would be necessary to get lower than my perch above. Getting there was very challenging but looked much better than on top of the higher rocks. Closer to the water gave a more intimate look and helped the foreground.
Normally I don't use the iPhone for my photos, but yesterday evening, just before I left the office, I looked up at this sky and discovered this amazing sky.
A rather unusual cloudy sky with rain and thunder. There are a lot of different structures in the clouds.
Shot is taken in Houten (The Netherlands) around 18:45.
When he is against Christmas Decorations until after Thanksgiving, but you drag them out and beg to start decorating the house...

I'm really not happy that my camera froze when all the fireworks were in the air together so I don't have multiple fireworks in one shot. I guess this is close I will get for now. And ince I thought that all of them were kind of similar and didn't make sense to upload them separately, just decided to do a collage and show all in one shot together. Maybe I could make 1 more collage. But I believe these are the best shots of them all.
