When we moved to our new house in 2019, I saw this Heron at the pond in front of me. It flew away very quickly and there are far better (and sharper) images of Herons, but I like it!

When I first visited the SOO back in June and I saw the Canyon train equipement sitting unused in track S517 at Steelton, I could've sworn that it would never turn a wheel again. But somehow, somewhere, someone at CN decided it would run again for one last time. Who would've thought!?
Under the control of Algoma Central engineer J.C and second engineer S.T, CN P63331-06 is making it's way north on the SOO Sub along the Tracks of the Black Bear towards Agawa Canyon with F40PHR 106, 105 and 16 coaches on the head pin.

A Wood Duck (Aix sponsa) drake from Tarrant County, Texas.
I didn't have any images of bunnies or peeps (which I interpret to be baby chickens) to post today, but I thought that a brightly-colored drake Wood Duck in breeding plumage is fitting for the theme of the day.

This is another one of the photos I took at the local golf course some time ago. The trees are naked now and the place look rather boring.
When she looks at things too closely, they can appear distorted and unreal. Perhaps she should pull back a bit and see things as they truly are...
