The little ripper catches some big air…
I hope everyone is enjoying the winter season!
I’m sending hugs and good energy your way.
Keep dreaming.
Keep blazing trails.
Keep shining so bright, my friends.
And I’ll see you in the sky!
When putting together a modular model, I always make a small test to see how the units, usually with different colors, have to be connected to form a corner.
This is how it looks like and this shape gave me the idea to use the striped paper for this model of which I showed you the single flat units all together yesterday, (See first comment box)
It reminds me of a kind of spaceship ;-))
Have a nice Thursday!

“When he [Malevranche] happened to find Descartes' book entitled Man in a book shop on the rue Saint Jaques, he leafed through it, bought it and "read it with so much pleasure that he was forced at times to interrupt his reading, so loud were the beatings of his heart due to the extreme pleasure he had in doing so". Those who never put down a book of erudition, science or philosophy, to catch their breath, so to speak, and recover from the strong emotion they experience, certainly ignore of of the most exquisite pleasures of intellectual life.”

When insect wings are glistening in the beam
Of the low sun, and mountain-tops are bright,
Oh, let me, by the crystal valley-stream,
Wander amid the mild and mellow light;
And while the redbreast pipes his evening lay,
Give me one lonely hour to hymn the setting day.
- William Cullen Bryant
This is such a talking point when people stroll through the falls in Lanark, Scotland, the water is so calm then the rapids start almost on what looks like a knife edge, from calm to extremely fast moving.
When you coming home?
It's the quiet in the night
That makes my mind make noises and guessing second times
Tell me that you're mine
Say it one more time

When we arrived the water was the stillest I had seen in my trips to Mono Lake. The reflections were mesmerizing, and the light was perfect. It was an ideal combination of stunning and still.
When we sailed Georgian Bay there were moments like this where you could not see a horizon line while you were on the water. These beacons of light were welcome signs of land again.

A White-crowned Sparrow appeared while I had fun taking shots of rain and aspen leaves.
I enjoyed seeing these birds as fledglings when we lived in Alaska. Now, living in the Lower 48, I can see them as adults.
Slight crop, only. Thanks for looking. Back shortly.
When I saw this topic on the list, I instantly knew what I wanted to photograph. Or, perhaps more precisely, who. After all, the Wild Birds Unlimited store I frequent has a shop cat named Frankie. How could I not bring along my camera one day and take photos of him?

“When you go out into the woods, and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree.
The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying ‘You are too this, or I’m too this.’ That judgment mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.”

Well when we reached Mt Baker we couldn’t see 20 feet in front of us it was so foggy. The weather kept saying it would clear but we began to doubt it after an hour of waiting. Buy lo and behold after we reached the end of the hike, the fog began to clear and Mt Shuksan became visible. Have a great day..Kris….
When we ride over to Highland County Virginia we know the day is going to be all about the views. This photo was taken high up on a ridge looking into one of the valleys of Highland County. I would Love to have a little cabin here to come to on the weekends and just spend time soaking in all the beauty this place has to offer!
