When the last leaves of autumn fall, the quiet season will be upon us and the trees and animals will settle in for their winter's rest. With our house and property securely wrapped and buttoned up, Marg and I plan to bundle up and watch another winter unfold in the foothills. This year we get to watch our new puppy experience the vagaries of winter--romping through the powdery snow and experiencing the joy of a sloppy mud puddle. Here we go.

Well when we reached Mt Baker we couldn’t see 20 feet in front of us it was so foggy. The weather kept saying it would clear but we began to doubt it after an hour of waiting. Buy lo and behold after we reached the end of the hike, the fog began to clear and Mt Shuksan became visible. Have a great day..Kris….

When I played this game, Serein introduced me to the astrologian class. At the time, I thought I'd never in a million years be able to get to heavensward, unlock astro, and actually max it to level 70. TnT I hope one day she logs back on and I can play with her again...

When visiting the church Santi Cosma e Damiano in Rome (which I strongly recommend you do - and if you are tourist and visit the usual hot-spots of the city you will walk past the place, so you really have no excuse not to) you won't walk straight into the church, as you usually do. Instead you enter a cloister-like arcade that you have to walk around. It is very calming experience in itself, with murals on the walls, plenty of greenery and a central fountain. The place is actually the Mother house of the Third regular Franciscan order, and has been that since 1512. The architecture here, and the fountain, dates to the 17th century.

When entering and leaving the Silicon Valley International Auto Show in San José, California, you have to run the gauntlet known as Vendors Row. People trying to sell you all things automotive.
Sometimes a pain trying to get through, but you might also find some pretty cool stuff. At the least, you can probably find somebody who will clean your glasses for free.
When you don't need your number plate to be readable, its the ideal place to put the rain light.

When is a fountain not a fountain - when it is a rather ornate flowerpot !!
Spotted this in the grounds of a grand building ( see the link below for a view ) and was struck by the flowers growing in the bowls of the fountain !
I have taken shots here before but failed to notice the flowers before , but standing in the adjacent churchyard looking down a bit they were more apparent .
