When you stand next to such an big old steam engine you truly can feel its power. I mean they are way less efficient then modern electrical high speed engines are… But for some reason they still have that magic feeling… Very impressive!
When I saw the improved boolean modifier in Blender 2.91 I knew I had to try it for a spooky idea I'd had in my head. This was astonishingly easy to clean up with the new algorithm they use.

Today is the day for my 64th. Sure is hard to believe that is has come so fast especially since turning 50 it's been Zoom Zoom.
There is so much to be thankful for. My i have been lucky and so very happy. Always knew that if this day was to arrive that my anthem would be the song by The Beatles....when i'm 64.

Any resemblance to the iconic ending of Ridley Scott's 1991 film Thelma and Louise is purely intentional. But lacking a backdrop shot of the American West, I've had to substitute an image looking north to the Isle of Raasay from Skye.
I've had this idea for quite some time, but lacked an appropriate model car. When this theme came up, I checked out the local junk shop and found a model Mini Cooper and VW Beetle, neither of which were suitable. So went all out and 'shelled out' for this beautiful little Corgi MGB model convertible, never mind that it isn't a Thunderbird. A tricky part was finding snails that would be able to fit into the seats.
The weather remains total carp on Skye, with little respite from the generally poor conditions, so fortunately I have my snails to play with. Thanks to Maria for this week's theme - I've had hours of fun...
No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph.
......when camping. So far we haven't had any bears try to climb our ladder. I honestly don't know what would happen if one did. We might end up, all 3 of us, sleeping together in a heap on the ground.
When I first found this wall in 2008 it was bare concrete with a couple of little spots of buff paint. Now it's become the place where I try new ideas and often just paint quietly by myself. Lots of civilians come through here and I'm always surprised at how friendly the locals are and how much they love the work. I think I have nine or ten pieces here at the minute.

Had a very nice visit to Zollverein Essen, Germany.
It has been a colemine and cokes factory: with an area of 100 hectares, more than 25 years after its closure, the once largest colliery in Europe is the only Unesco World Heritage Site of the Ruhr Area.

When you walk the Dubrovnik wall, you are regularly presented with views of this nature. Little snippets of the old town and beyond are presented to you in a beautiful stone framework.
When Prince Albert, beloved husband of Queen Victoria, she had this huge pyramid built as his memorial overlooking the Cairngorm mountains, which was his favourite spot when visiting Balmoral. It can easily be seen on the hilltop when driving along the Dee valley road. Andy, my climbing partner, decided he wanted to climb it, but didn't get very far!
When it first flew up into the tree, it gave a big shake... like a dog and the light backlit its feathers.
