When plants are regularly deadheaded, bloom time can last for several months. Individual flowers can last for a week to 10 days, making them a superb cut flower.
When we see the beauty of the snow, when we see the beauty of the full moon, when we see the beauty of the cherries in bloom, when in short we brush against and are awakened by the beauty of the four seasons, it is then that we think most of those close to us, and want them to share the pleasure. The excitement of beauty calls forth strong fellow feelings, yearnings for companionship, and the word "comrade" can be taken to mean "human being". The snow, the moon, the blossoms, words expressive of the seasons as they move one into another, include in the Japanese tradition the beauty of mountains and rivers and grasses and trees, of all the myriad manifestations of nature, of human feelings as well.
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe, and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️

Dig if you will the picture
Of you and I engaged in a kiss
The sweat of your body covers me
Can you my darling
Can you picture this?
Dream if you can a courtyard
An ocean of violets in bloom
Animals strike curious poses
They feel the heat
The heat between me and you
How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world that′s so cold? (So cold)
Maybe I'm just too demanding
Maybe I′m just like my father too bold
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She′s never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry
Touch if you will my stomach
Feel how it trembles inside
You′ve got the butterflies all tied up
Don't make me chase you
Even doves have pride
How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world so cold? (World so cold)
Maybe I′m just too demanding
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold
Maybe you′re just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She′s never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry
How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world that's so cold? (A world that's so cold)
Maybe I′m just too demanding (Maybe, maybe I′m like my father)
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold (Ya know he′s too bold)
Maybe you're just like my mother (Maybe you′re just like my mother)
She's never satisfied (She′s never, never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other (Why do we scream, why)
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry
When doves cry (Doves cry, doves cry)
When doves cry (Doves cry, doves cry)
Don't cry (Don't Cry)
When doves cry
When doves cry
When doves cry
Don′t cry
Darling don′t cry
Don't cry
Don′t cry
Don't don′t cry
When traveling up the Pacific Coast Highway late last summer with my west coast damsel, we stopped in the small lovely city of Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County founded in 1870. This lovely marina, the strong cobalt cast in the sky and the small formations in the background caught my eye. This harbor like many on right off Pacific Coast byway was full of harbor seals, just sitting out in the sun.
Another winter storm will hit us tonight and Wednesday. I enjoy winter but continue to dream of spring while sipping a cup of hot chocolate.
On/Off - Thank you very much for your visit and comment! I really appreciate it!
when we stayed at the Ravel Hotel in Long Island City for my daughter's wedding...
The Queensboro Bridge, officially named the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, is a cantilever bridge over the East River in New York City.
The NYATCW was in operation at what was then known as No. 401 Vernon Avenue in Long Island City, from 1886 until 1968. Of the forty-eight major terra cotta manufacturers in the United States, it was the only such plant situated in New York City. The NYATCW supplied architectural terra cotta for projects throughout the United States and Canada. Materials supplied from this location were used in constructing more than 2,000 buildings. Among the company’s most prominent contracts included Carnegie Hall and the Ansonia Hotel. Terra cotta became popular as a building material in the United States beginning in the 1870s and enjoyed a long tenure due to its flexibility, versatility, and durability.
When it is pitch dark, you are drunk, and you have lost your car key, it is best to search for it under a lamp.
As Cleo has arthrosis she has to take two pills every day. Cleo and I have reached an agreement: she allows me to put the pills directly into her mouth without shredding my fingers and in return she gets some treats. This generally works very well but it only works with me. When my sister had to give her the pills once several adhesive bandages were required afterwards.

When it's blowing a gale and still snowing, shovelling just seems utterly pointless. Main St., Winnipeg, Canada.
Oh yeah, this season is about to happen again. Last year I was lucky to get all the jackpots in one, beautiful colors, light AND fog! You really cannot go any better when shooting forest pictures. I can only hope to get this combo once more...
When most people think of Iowa, they think of flat land and corn fields but they likely don't know about the Driftless - a small section in northeastern Iowa that all the Pleistocene glaciers forgot to cover and level out. As a result of those lucky misses, our landscape is filled with steep forested hills and sheltered valleys where small clear cold-water streams flow. Beavers have dammed this small stream up into a brook trout paradise.
When you really haven't been feeling yourself recently but decide that it's time to rejoin the human race, there really is only one place to go.
Because everyone loved it, but I think it makes my head look weirdly shaped.

When we arrived at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at daybreak, we were surprised and thrilled when we noticed this trio perched high in a tree. A quick search of the Merlin Bird ID app confirmed their identity. Later in the morning they joined a group of geese grazing on swamp grass. They made my day!
When we go on vacation, we are always drawn off the beaten path - to places where you can still find the original, genuine life of the vacation region. On Rhodes we found this in the small town of Koskinou, not far from Rhodes town. A village center that is hard to imagine more original, hardly anything has changed here for decades and you can find beautiful details
When the clouds lingered on the distant horizon, it was time to grab my camera and tripod, then make for the rocks at Snickett Park. Upon arrival, I clambered about eventually finding a crevasse for the foreground. While I was awkwardly perched, a man stammered up on my left. I thought, "oh, here we go". He leaned in showing me an iPhone shot he had taken of me. "The wild taking photos of the wild", he blustered. And, considering the strong smell of alcohol, it was good a lit match was not present.
Then a family came close and a young lady introduced herself as Penny, and asked a few questions. The show of colors had begun so I remained but answered. They were visiting from England and were enjoying a holiday. I offered my site as reference so she could find spots of interest along the Sunshine Coast.
Nice to meet you Penny.
When you are having some fun for a picture and your soul sister Nikole, tps in and photo bombs your shot!!
Making the picture even more fun and interesting!! lol
When your window is lower than the top of the levee running next to it, people are gonna look. So, put something interesting on the window sill.
Alviso, California.
When we visited the Grand Canyon earlier this year, we experienced a couple snow storms. The canyon rim was a bit treacherous at times but it was still beautiful.
When I overindulge in a giant breakfast at the Otter Cafe I stagger outside to visit my hawthorns. Every shot is evidence of another inch on my waistline. Watch for these trees. They indicate a yielding to temptation. I cannot resist them either.
Yew Tree Tarn, Cumbria - The water was even more blue than the perfectly clear sky - Classic Light? Thank you Dmitriy for pointing out that the white streaks are probably meteors.
When I'm stressed out and need to relax, I just turn up the music and lose myself in it. And so do my neighbors, whether they want to or not!

Years ago I bought a pack of 'Happy to Serve You' disposable paper cups in N.Y., to bring home a litlle Morning-New-York-Style to the somewhat slower countryside mornings in Denmark.
The flash was on automatic, and didn't go off on most of the images, but in this one, the coffee looks just as golden as the first cup tastes :-)

When the night comes for many animals, it’s time to hide and rest.and they should ...because in the same time an army of hunters able to see and act in the dark open their eyes.
and this giant verreaux eagle owl (bubo lacteus) ,the biggest owl of africa, seems to say "good morning" to the incoming night.
in this case the owl was in the shade and the last sun was enlightening the background
