Left to rust on the semi abandoned shipyard - bet this Miller beauty has welded quite a couple of ships together.

Once all was assembled I was able to mark correct positions for the 'bellcranks'. Here I've tacked one onto a front fork and this arrangement of magnets is being used to make TIG welding of the curved joint a little easier. The two Kant-Twist clamps on the bottom provide mass so that the fork won't accidentally tip when I get to leaning on the stem tube when I'm welding.

A friend was doing some welding so I decided to try my luck at getting some close-up shots. We had a good system where I'd focus on the spot, shut my eyes really tight and then he'd start. When I heard sparks, I shot. Got some pleasing results.

Fed up with more overcast skies, and no chance of a sunset its back to the garage. Shot in manual mode. The main obstacle was getting the background close enough to the welding arc,to pick up and reflect the light, and the hand etc far enough away to be in shadow - oh and welding, holding the mask and firing the remote shutter all at the same time!!

Socket weld flanges are counter-bored to receive the pipe earlier than being fillet welded. The bore of the pipe and flange are both the equal to grant exact float characteristics. Stainless steel socket weld flanges are oxidation resistant and promote better weldability and fabricability. WENZHOU HUASHANG STEEL CO.,LTD is manufacturer ,trader, supplier and exporter for socket weld flange.
