Here's another from yesterday, since I pretty much got crap today. It's been a pretty rough week for the Albiquerquie Balloon Fiesta. I just got here yesterday, so I missed the first half of the festival. Apparently, I didn't miss much. It was cancelled a couple of days for bad weather. the winds have been strange and unpredictable. Tonight's balloon glow was cancelled. I pretty much called that one a couple of hours ago when I opened my door and the wind grabbed it, yanked the door handle out of my hand and flung the door open! As I had said in my previous post, the winds were strange this morning. I just took a walk down to the balloon field and caught the official news cast. I didn't just watch it on TV. I actually watched them filming it. Apparently this morning, as the strange winds started picking up, one balloon hit the ground, bounced back up and got snagged in some electric wires. The basket burst into flames. Both guys either jumped or fell. One died. The other is in very bad shape. The balloon continued on by itself for another 10 miles or so. There were several other incidents this morning. One 11 year old kid bounced out of the basket when they hit the ground. He got tangled in the ropes and dragged along for a while. A few other people were injured. It was a rough morning.
Yesterday was strange too. It started out normal enough. Just as I was about to leave, a strange, powerful downdraft appeared about a hundred yards to my left. I've never seen anything like it. All the balloons that passed overhead or to the right were perfectly fine. Anyone that went to the left crashed. It was fun to watch. The burners are so powerful on these things. They pull the trigger, and the balloon shoots up into the sky. Not yesterday. Anyone that went off to the left, you'd watch them just just pulling on that burner. Burn, burn burn, fall, fall, fall... Crash! There must have been 20-30 of them that unexpectedly hit the ground right next to where I was standing. Some took off again. Some just gave up and packed it in.

I am so blessed to have inspiration all around me. I have beautiful friends that are amazing mothers, fantastically creative and compassionate women. I have a husband that is beyond brilliant and a wonderful parent and husband. I am part of this community of photographers that create phenomenally beautiful photographs weekly. These people inspire me daily. But my children are my primary creative influence. They are the reason I aim to make beautiful memories to have to look back on for years to come. They inspire me to document our everyday moments and drag my camera with me every. where. we. go. They are my muses and I am so grateful for this hobby that lets me stop time.
The Labubu is definitely one of the latest fashions and this is my daughter’s most recent addition.
He is also sporting his own Halloween fashion outfit.

I didn’t intentionally set out to save this for Shark Week but here we are lol. Sadie loves this shark hand puppet from Walmart and she was playing around at the table and I had to snap this of her expression.
Color challenges are one of my favorites -- found the color blue in the most random places this week. 6/52
i can't complain. there are still some signs of summer here.
been so busy i have barely shot anything this week, but I am off tomorrow. whoo!
I seem to always do this. I upload a photo for 52 weeks project and then I forget that there was one that I liked better. This one is better so I am going to change it...this is week ten.
Press L and I will love you forever!!!!
Theme of The Week - Getting High
Its been a rough couple weeks,
On March 24, one of my co-workers collapsed after finishing teaching his class. He never regained consciousness and passed away at the hospital.
On April 3, my friend Jeanine passed away from cancer. She started with cervical, then breast, then lymph, spinal fluid, and brain cancer. She was the strongest and bravest person I have ever known

I wore this crownless hat for my wedding 44 years ago. It's been packed away in a cedar chest, I'm surprised it is still white.
A bit low on inspiration this week. The damp evening conditions meant I headed into the garden and brought this fellow in for a photoshoot!

If you stop and really take notice you will find lines everywhere even, in the sky. We went at the Air Show on Sunday and they had a team of some acrobatic airplaines that were absolutely phenomenal. They were lined up in perfect formation most of the time and then other times like in this photo just drawing lines in the sky. It was so awesome. (Want to see more of the Air Show flic.kr/s/aHsjEESFzR )
Wishing everyone a great rest of the week and a beautiful weekend!!!

[ 38 / 52 Weeks - 17 - 23 september ]
This week subject: Colors.
Ho provato in questi giorni a scattare qualcosa di nuovo, ma niente. Momentaneamente l'ispirazione se n'è andata. Ripiego, quindi, sulle foto non ancora pubblicate del museo.
Ready and eager to start the new week. Isn't it amazing that just one piece of clothing takes us from scandalously provocative to decent and respectable? The only ones who would guess what's beneath my dress are the few who saw my last pic. That must be only, let's see ...
Oh my goodness! There's never been as many views on a pic's first day! I'd like to thank all my friends for stopping by because I'm secretly very thrilled by the number of visitors.
Went on a rock climbing trip to Nevada. AMAZING SCENERY. I woke up an hour before dawn so that I'd have time to find a spot to take photos. I ended up driving down a winding highway with epic landscapes and instead of stopping to shoot I kept wondering what I would find around the corner. Suddenly it was two hours later, and I had 20 minutes to just hurry up and get a photo before my friends left to climb without me.
