This is my first week entry for a 52 week project

Still a few weeks behind! I thought I would do something different for me, definitely going to try this again with better lighting.

Cari flickeriani,

sono tornata dalle mie vacanze in Sardegna!

Inizio a recuperare le due settimane lasciate indietro, partendo da questa foto scattata nell'immenso giardino della "nostra" villa.

52 weeks of 2025/week 2 Hands

week 5 / 52

When I woke up I was so tired to take a picture of something. I just bought a new coffee so I decided to take a picture of it. But I was still too tired so this one is second cup of my morning coffee :)

We gaan rustig door. Elke week weer.

One of the bridges in Elizabeth Park on the foggy day we had this week.

For the group 52 in 2013.

This week's theme suits me perfectly except the weather is cloudy and yucky. Not much luck finding my eagle friends with all the open water, but I did find these two along the Wisconsin River in Sauk.

While I learned a lot about landscapes last year, I was very thankful we didn't have to do an actual landscape this week! Instead here we have a little bit of land in the palm of a hand. CC welcome.

Are you a Border Collie or an Aussie Minty? She is an Aussie but when we play with a certain ball she has the eyes of a Border Collie. I was about ready to kick her favorite ball here and she was very focused! I wanted to get an action shot for this week but it was very dreary outside and my action shots were just not very sharp.

Thank you all for the good wishes last week concerning my kidney stone woes and my husband having Covid. We are both doing much better this week.

Week Thirty-Two

Your baby is up to 3.75 pounds (1702gm) now and is 16.7 inches (42.4cm) long.

You might notice she's not moving around as much now. Don't worry! She is fine -- just running short on room. She still has plenty of growing to do though, believe it or not!

All five senses are working. Your little one is fascinated and practicing testing these out as much as possible!

Toenails are completely formed even though she may not be quite ready for a French manicure.

Hair on your infant's head continues to grow in. Will she have dad's brown hair or your red hair?

Brain scans have shown that babies have periods of dream sleep (REM) starting around the eight month. What do you suppose your Princess is dreaming about?

I'm a bit behind, but I'm trying to catch up as fast as I can. Week 6 was emotion. When I was a little kid, I LOVED it when the ice cream truck came through the neighborhood. The other night, the ice cream truck came through our neighborhood and of course the kids went crazy. I love watching them light up when they hear the chimes of the ice cream truck.

In this moment, they are experiencing true BLISS. :)

This week's is actually on time - and SOOC [ i.e. lazy] ! :D

I don't like this photo, there's nothing interesting about it. It saddens me that all these ideas in my head can't get translated on my camera :-(

I have some great ideas for next week - so yay :D

First trial with a new technic ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) with some trees clode to my garden

A nod to the camera I am using next in my Camera Project.

Our property is primarily a wetland. Being a Wetland, we have several sections with a lot of Cattails. I am learning the benefits as well as the many uses of this amazing plant. Last year the Grandkids and I stripped some plants of their leaves and made a small matt that they could lie on in their fort. The leaves repel water and created a natural spot to sit on - such fun!!

Interesting facts about cattails:

Cattails are important to wildlife and are cultivated ornamentally as pond plants and for dried-flower arrangements.

The long flat leaves of the common cattail (Typha latifolia) are used for making mats and chair seats.

Cattail pollen is sometimes used in fireworks.

Cattails can live in fresh or somewhat brackish water and can grow in up to 2 feet of water or in floating mats.

They play a crucial role in the ecosystem, providing habitat for wildlife, stabilizing soil, and purifying water.

Porcelain Waterbirds:

L to R: Oystercatcher, Smew, Goldeneye, Shelduck, Pintail

Our five week-old Eastern Bluebirds are growing fast! Still don't have their eyes open, but getting pin feathers and taking on a blue hue. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

Week 45 (v 11.0) - 'til we meet again

Something old - Something new.
