on our quest for the E-Rail back in 2007, WC 300 was based in Prentice, managed to get good sun on both sides before and after the E-Rail chase. The 300 is now based out of Pokegama Yard in Superior and has seen service a few times this winter already.

This male has been interacting in a territorial dispute with his reflection at the window feeder for over a week.

He pretends to feed and picks at imaginary items on the branches before flying at the "intruder"

Though a common species in our area...feeder visiting is not a regular thing.

only one other year, in over 20 years here, have i ever had another OCWA display and and defend against its reflection.

Wisconsin Central Limited ( WC ) GP40 3018 & GTW GP38-2 6228 rest at Presidents Island, TN waiting on their next assignment, the moon can be seen in the sky in the upper right some 238,855 miles away, the WC GP40 3018 is the last WC GP40 that remains in service on CN, Canadian National Railroad took over WC around 19 years ago, there are some WC SD45’s preserved at the Illinois Railroad Museum, all others were stored, scrapped or work on other railroads, I know Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway got some of WC’s SD40-2’s but I believe they’ve been repainted into Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway paint & even if they were in WC paint the WC lettering was patched out

The Harriman Special takes a stroll past the restored WC Tower, in downtown Waldwick. The 1943 and train was an added bonus to the patrons of the car show going on in town.

No matter where you went, there was a sizable crowd out for this event, so the key was not trying to eliminate the crowd, but rather how can you gracefully work them into the shot as well as any other landmarks that represented the east, where the UP Business consist is foreign to. The waves from the two railfans up ahead add a nice touch.

Wisconsin Central, Fond du Lac, WI, June 29, 1989

Here we are looking south along the ROW of the original WC land grant line from Spencer, WI to Ashland, WI. Thillmany gons were loaded in Ashland and brought south. A daytime job worked from Mellen to Ashland and back, and a night job worked from Mellen down to Prentice and back. This train was the next in line - a Wausau-Prentice (or maybe it was a Prentice - Wausau turn?)

En una parada del autobús cerca de HUE el interior de un WC tenía este moderno sistema de cierre. Lo subo únicamente como documento, ya que como foto es obvio que carece de valor.
