The quality of this photo isn't too good (taken with my old Sony CD1000 Mavica) but still, these types of pictures fuel my memory on what railroading and the WC was like in Wisconsin's northwoods.
WC train #7 pulling along #2 by 19th Ave in Oshkosh. In the background the old Soo engine house still stands.
One of WC's reliable ex-Algoma Central SD40-2s has the local rolling east on this cloudy brisk day, east of New Richmond. February 9, 2007.
A 30 in the lead, 30 years ago this month. WC train #20 with 5 Geep's - a 30, 35, 30, 35M, & a 30. Trains T019 and T020 had to use lighter power due to a weight restriction on the Green Bay & Western, which they had to use to get to Green Bay. WC ran these trains up the Shawano Sub to Black Creek, then had trackage rights over the GBW into Green Bay.

Lucky enough to get to a warm environment and experiment with Arista Ultra and rodinal extra agitation at low temperature. Was impressed with the latitude particularly in low light where I probably pushed one stop in some of the images. The difference between slight changes in temperature and agitation seem to create just a bit more contrast than would be expected for a push. Thanks again for all the inspiration from my fellow flickeranians - you really are an inspirational group!
New Jersey Transit Waldwick terminating train #1205 is seen departing Waldwick Station on Track 3, and heading into Waldwick Yard to turn around and head back eastbound. EMD F40PH-2CAT #4119 powers the train on the west-end.
Wisconsin Central caboose #17 downtown Oshkosh, WI. From what I could gather, this ex Milwaukee caboose was not part of the sale, so WC ended up returning this to the Soo Line.
Back in early 1995 when the winter Minorca trains were running with the C&NW ore cars, WC 6560 was the leader in the 3 unit consist. Easy to spot the BN heritage of this unit with the Squared off winterization hatch. I was wondering if I had a detailed enough shot showing the safety sign in the stairwell, it reads: YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AND THE OBLIGATION TO WORK SAFELY
WC is only 4 months old here where train #1 is departing N. Fond du lac, WI Shops Yard heading to Stevens Point.
A Wisconsin Central train is seen near Stevens Point, Wisconsin on August 3rd, 1988 with WC 4010-4005. Train had 44 cars.

This is looking to the right of my previous photo at Shops Yard roundhouse. I'm not sure but I think this may be a close to what heaven looks like.
