We met Wayne last night at the College World Series. He and a bunch of guys from LSU were sitting in the rows ahead of us. They were hilarious. You can tell from his face that he likes to have a good time. Like asking everyone who walks by for some of their food. Or a fork. Or spoon. Evidently some people (according to Uncle Frog - more on him later) get so irritated with him that they actually go get him food! He was a riot - they were all a lot of fun to be around. LSU won today - so they should be in a great mood tonight!
Sorry I haven't been around much - have been insanely busy - and we're off now to see mom and dad. Have a great evening - I'll catch up soon!
Please look at it big!!

In his secret identity, Batman is Bruce Wayne, a wealthy businessman who lives in Gotham City. To the world at large, Bruce Wayne is often seen as an irresponsible, superficial playboy who lives off his family's personal fortune (amassed when Bruce's family invested in Gotham real estate before the city was a bustling metropolis) and the profits of Wayne Enterprises, a major private technology firm that he inherits. However, Wayne is also known for his contributions to charity, notably through his Wayne Foundation. Bruce creates the playboy public persona to aid in throwing off suspicion of his secret identity, often acting dim-witted and self-absorbed to further the act.
Wayne Shorter's The All Seeing Eye and Faust's self-titled album. Both are gifts for a friend though I may keep the Faust album since it's a 2008 repressing.
Not exactly Wayne Manor... it is Wollaton Hall in Nottingham but it was used as Wayne Manor in The Dark Knight Rises.

Queens Birthday Weekend saw 71 trials bikes and 6 sidechairs assemble in Kaikoura, New Zealand for the 75th running of the Pioneer Clubs 3 Day Trial. Held every year since 1946 this long running event still enjoys good support with riders travelling from all over New Zealand for three days riding at three different properties. The sections for the three days were set in heavy rain the previous weekend. The first days riding at Birches Road benefited from the fine weather in the days immediately before the event. There was no frost and the wind was warm at times - not typical for this winter event. Rain on the second day stopped in time for riders briefing at Dairy Farm Flat and all sections except Section 6 had good grip. The view down the valley from Section 5 at the top of the hill was spectacular. Day 3 at Mount Fyffe delivered a day of rain showers with greasy sections that took more points than the two previous days combined. Sections 7, 8, and 9 became quite slick. Prize Giving was held in Kaikoura after the event with the trophies shared around, the Expert Trophy going North, but the North South Trophy staying in the South Island. The main social event was a well supported dinner at the Lobster Inn on Sunday night. Pioneer would like to thank all riders who traveled and joined us for the weekend. We hope you are able to join us at Queens Birthday next year for the 76th event. Enjoy the photos taken by Lynette. Note there are 330 photos so please give the folder time to load.
Canonshot Mole is pictured against the familiar backdrop of rolling green Yorkshire Dales hillsides. It's a good time of year to be a photographer...the shots come easy when there's a fine blue sky and bountiful sunlight to illuminate the valleys!

Wayne Williams was a former resident of Birmingham Alabama who moved to Detroit to get a better job in housing construction.
Although Wayne is currently without a job or home, when I met up with him, he was on his way to collect two large turkeys and take them to families that he knew would need them more than himself.
Bruce Wayne, from the side. The clothes rack is made out of Green Stuff and a piece of a paper clip for stiffness. The cowl, cape, and boots came from an extra Batman figure from the Batman: Alpha set. I had to shave the shoulders down and heat the cape to bend it around the clothes rack.
Photo by Carl who was able to sneak a couple of photos. He didn't aim but shot blindly and turned off the camera monitor to be unnoticed.
We slept very late on Saturday since we had been up all night traveling to Vegas. About 2 PM, my luggage arrived. Praise God! Jim, Carl, and I ate a delicious meal at a Mexican restaurant (not on the strip). Then Carl and I took the shuttle bus from the Wyndham Grand Desert Resort to Harrah's for a Wayne Newton Concert and some "walking through casinos" before and after. We rode the monorail for the first time ever.

So this is day two of the three day festival. Kenny Wayne Shepherd was the headliner, and he was amazing. This is the biggest band I have ever shot, and I was really really nervous about to shoot, because I didn't wanna mess anything up. The night before I was having some white balance issues, so I brought my laptop along with me so I can free up space on my cards after each band. I had to shoot RAW, so there was no reason for messed up white balance issues.
I am really happy with my result and I hope you guys love these pictures!

ever since i first heard wayne shorter's unique sound on steely dan's aja, i was totally captivated. he has a totally unique style, which i was really able to get into by listening to weather report (although his older, more straight-ahead tracks are fantastic too.. i still prefer that zawinul / shorter / pastorius lineup)
