Clipper City Brewing Company hosted its first ever Real Ale and BBQ Fest, Saturday 16 May 2009, at the brewery in Baltimore, Maryland.
The festival was the official unveiling of Heavy Seas Big DIPA. The spelling is deliberate: it's is an acronym for 'double India Pale Ale': 10% alcohol by volume (abv). To be released only in 22-ounce bottles and kegs. Projected release: in late June 2009.

Built in 1883 by the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway, which was later absorbed by the Chicago and North Western system. When a newer passenger station was built, this building was converted into a freight station. It later became a warehouse for a nearby lumber yard and is now used by a nearby car dealership.
