Hiking on a glacier is one of coolest experience I've ever had. Vatnajökull is a really beautiful place that sadly will disappear very soon...
EXPLORED Thank you My Friends!
I took this shot a few weeks ago. At the time, I thought that the fall colours of this Silver Mound looked like ocean coral gently swaying in underwater currents.
this one is inspired by my dear friend olja. she posted a wonderful wave shot from sri lanka www.flickr.com/photos/olika/15459298404/in/contacts/. and she has matched it with beautiful music that moves me so. so much that i decided to post one myself, although not as pretty. this one is from miramar beach california. and i think lindsey stirling's master of the tides www.flickr.com/photos/olika/15459298404/in/contacts/ may work here. anyways if you have a wave shot, please post one too. let's see if we can get all the continents. if nothing else, just to show even though we may be from different lands and cultures, we can still be one with each other, just like the oceans. so wave back :)
You probably think that this wave is coming from the left, but actually it's moving from right to left, and that's the tail end of it. Although almost vertical, the wind has carried it over the breakwater.
The light was so diffuse that there was very little contrast, but single-raw HDR has brought the detail out a little.

Off the Oregon coast, near Lincoln City. I just thought this one was neat for getting four waves in the same frame. 14FEB09
The waves crash dramatically off the sharp, volcanic rock on the North Shore of Oahu.
