Gosh it's been changeable weather today. We sat outside for a light lunch and minutes later our food was soggy.
So after a frustrating time of getting wet, cold and having our faces sand blasted by fossil shrapnel, we gave up and checked in at the hotel.
Shame.. the weather now looks glorious. :-(
This was a rare shot where my camera was out not getting soaked. The kids seemed oblivious to the temperature of the sea and the crazy wind.

I thought these were some serious waves at Ho'okipa beach, but a woman next to me said that really this was nothing compared to some of the storms that roll in off the ocean.

Principios de enero. No es buena fecha para ir a la playa en estas costas. El agua está fría (eso es relativo), hay demasiada brisa y las olas son peligrosas. El paisaje sigue siendo espectacular y se pasa un buen rato. Está bien eso de vivir cerca.
