Kitesurfen is snel: op 12oktober 2010 werd de magische grens van (100 km/h) doorbroken door de Fransman Alex Caizergues.

Kitesurfen kan je veilig beoefenen mits je je aan een aantal regels houdt en je verstand gebruikt.

Het is wel een sport waar risico's aan verbonden zijn en het is daarom zeer belangrijk om eerst lessen te volgen.

Many thanks to the driver of this Class 700 Thames Link Train who sounded the horn and waved back to my grandchildren as stood waving from the foot bridge over the track.

It was a windy rough day at Hampton Beach, but not enough for me. I added a few waves to make it more dramatic while still keeping the kids on the beach safe.

My first try at painting the sea; I thought a big wave would be nice to try.

Acrylics on canvas, 2008, 40×40 cm

It’s a 4 cm thick canvas frame and the sides are painted, so there’s no need for a frame really.

Appartementengebouw in Hatert, gemeente Nijmegen.

Ontwerp: 24H Architecture. (Boris Zeisser en Maartje Lammers). Projectnaam: De Witte Roos.

Gebouw wordt in Nijmegen "Hart van Hatert" genoemd.

Op de hoeken van het gebouw vinden we organisch/speels vormgegeven balkons. In de aluminium reling van de balkons zijn (geperforeerde) bladmotieven aangebracht. Op de gevels is onbehandeld Cumaru hout aangebracht.

Opgeleverd: Einde 2011.

Prijzen: -Winnaar Publieksprijs Architectuurprijs Nijmegen 2013.

Is that a wave ?

The lovely oceanfront view of Newport Beach, California

... during spring time.

A bit of information about the winds: during spring and autumn they are the strongest, which means that the surfaces of waters are unsteady, creating some high waves.

Anyway, during my stay in my vacation house, we visited 'As Furnas', where the waves do crash a lot. It is a beautiful place to be and enjoy the sun kissing your skin.

There must be some way of dampening the effect of wind on one's mic so that you can hear the waves rather than the wind. You don't get problems like this with still photos ...
