…..A nice Cornish ‘Sea Fix’ today I thought would be in order seeing as the weather is not so good a the moment in many places and a forecast of 65 - 70 MPH to hit the coast suggests some rather bigger waves are to come!!!!! Stay safe & cosy everyone. .….. Alan:-)

A Pacific wave from the north of the South Island. Working off cell hot spot just now which is very slow. Hope the holidays are going well.
An approaching rain storm out at sea came upon us quicker than expected, just made it back up the trail from the tide pools at Point Loma San Diego, when down came the rain. The light coming through the clouds was amazing.
I had posted this pic before but always wanted to spend a bit more time in processing...so I gave it a whole 5 minutes. I think it is better but still needs help. Maybe someone who knows what they are doing in Photoshop. This is one of those pics that you can't look through the veiwfinder. I was holding the camera about 2 inches above the water and hoping I got it level.
It is that time of year - where I am so ready for a break that I am now re-using old titles - I think ! - I must have used A Splash of Light before - I'm not even sure ;)
I tried to capture the reflection of the tree on a small wave that was created when ducks landed. This is what I got.
Probably one of the most amazing shows I've ever witnessed, but the most challenging, due to the cold 60 km wind. She danced in all directions for about an hour at 10 pm. Sometimes adorned in a pink dress. She disappeared when the clouds blew in, then came back around midnight, where I fell asleep watching her through my bedroom window.
When the night does not whisper but roars, I listen.
I slip quietly into the dark, where the stars and the Northern Lights spill their secrets across the sky in waves. I send a wish upward, carrying it to those I love—no longer here in body, but always in spirit. For a breath of time, the world holds still. We are together again beneath the same heavens, and I am wrapped in their everlasting love. 💝

Os deseo una feliz semana, amigos mios...
I wish you a happy week, dear friends...
Ich wünsche euch eine wunderbare Woche, liebe Freunde...
I'm no wave expert, but two wave patterns seemed to be happening at once in the lake when I took this.
The winds were blowing basically left-to-right, and they seemed to be the source of the ephemeral blue waves on top.
The lake currents (it's basically a wide part of a river) were flowing right-to-left at the same time, and those waves are the steely-gray waves below the blue ones.
If you know wave behavior, I'd love to hear what you think about this.
