Every now and then it can be heard that clouds are just like feathers floating in the air... and in this case, there was actually one!

It was a day with high winds and fast moving clouds above Stornoway, but the one in the picture has definitely captured my attention, perfectly being the same of a classic feather! Seeing it like that, suspended in the air between the earth and the above and higher clouds was an unforgettable experience!

Fossilized wave patterns in sandstone layers of the Jurassic-period Carmel Formation are revealed in the spoils of an abandoned railroad cut dug in 1881 for an unused route of the narrow gauge Denver & Rio Grande Western Railway.

The weather was strong - with days where the wind was over 30m/s but never the less the Icelandic beauty was on full display. These images are from a brief roadtrip along the South Coast.

All of these images are single exposure with basic edits - nothing added, nothing removed. The only use of AI is for moderate noise reduction.
