Pensacola Florida

From gentle white sand through to dark sinister waves. It would seem the life of the beach captured in a single image.

What’s missing are the people, the runners, the bathers and the sun lovers. I don’t blame them. It’s cold, its winter, and the wind is blowing a chilly gale.

Perhaps life is a beach but never in a single moment.

Dawn in South West Acadia

The tide comes in at Murvagh Beach (the Backstrands). Near Donegal Town, Ireland, on a lovely warm later summer's afternoon.

This big bloke was pretty pleased with himself after catching this nice little wave at the mouth of the Mooloolah River this afternoon.

There were a ton of 8 ft waves at lake Michigan yesterday. Got some good pics! This one is a bit blury, but it still looks cool!

Had to trick him into waving. Held the camera up then waved at him. Too bad he couldn't have just waved.

Having been here several times, I never tire of this place, although the process to get there has gotten trying. Unfortunately, it is so iconic now that the daily number of people vying for the permits is ridiculous, especially considering the percentage that are over their head to go on a hike like this. I realize that sounds like sour grapes, but I've been around for a few of the BLM "lectures on simply how to get here, and seen the deer in the headlights looks. Not to mention the footwear, lack of water, and cluelessness I've seen at the site itself. STILL, this is a very special place.

Life. Rocks and water.

I used some different masking techniques and am very satisfied. Another learning curve for me and I am discombobulated as well as excited.....

May you be blessed with the strength of heaven

The light of the sun and the radiance of the moon

The splendor of the fire

The speed of lightning

the swiftness of wind

The depth of the sea

The stability of earth

And the firmness of rock.
