Stormy seas today with huge waves off Mendocino, California.

The sea was too rough for Farne boat-trips, so a walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh afforded many a chance of capturing the perfect wave. Good job it wasn't film.
Nothing like a 45 minute break at lunch to sit and do some photography at the beach with perfect conditions.

RFA's Wave Ruler (A390) replenishment vessel/fast fleet tanker is moved from Cammell Laird's dock 5 to the wet basin. She was assisted by Smit Waterloo, Zeebrugge, Smit Donau and Smit Belgie.
She proceeded into the wet basin stern first.

She has a cargo capacity of 16,000 cubic metres, which include 3,000 cubic metres of aviation fuel, 380 cubic metres of fresh water, and 500 metres of dry cargo.
