Am Ahornboden wandern ist vor allem im Herbst ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Der große Ahornboden im Karwendel in Tirol ist nämlich für seine unfassbar schöne Laubfärbung berühmt. Und zieht dann mit seinen über 2000 Bäumen jedes Jahr unzählige Menschen zum Wandern an. Nicht umsonst wurde der Große Ahornboden sogar zum Naturdenkmal erklärt.
Hiking at Ahornboden is an unforgettable experience, especially in autumn. The large Ahornboden in the Karwendel in Tyrol is famous for its incredibly beautiful foliage color. And then attracts with its over 2000 trees every year countless people to hike. It is not for nothing that the Große Ahornboden was even declared a natural monument.

After elementary school I learned carpentry at the technical school in Hallstatt. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary, I met with my former colleagues and visited the workshops of the various specialties. Here the boat builders' workshop, with a direct view of Lake Hallstatt.

Curled up on a stone bench and wrapped in the warm light of late afternoon, this little ginger cat seemed completely unaware of the world around it. In the middle of the city and surrounded by old architecture, it found its own peaceful corner where time slowed down and nothing mattered except the warmth of the sun.

If you're Shoshone you call it paγi̵nappi̵h. Otherwise, you may call it pogonip or just freezing fog. Whatever your vernacular, it is beautiful if you can stand the chill of being out in it. We’ve had a pretty nice little dose of it over the last couple days around parts of Lassen County. I’ve found that juniperus trees like, say, junipers are well suited to catch a bunch of the frost when it forms. I thought this scene looked pretty neat at the north end of the Willow Creek Valley on this morning as the sun to camera-right battled to cut the fog (and perhaps add a second digit Fahrenheit to the ambient temperature).

Edsel is a defunct brand of automobiles that was produced by the Ford Motor Company from the 1958 to 1960 model years. The namesake of Edsel Ford, the Edsel line was developed in an effort to give Ford a fourth brand to gain additional market share from Chrysler and General Motors. Established as an expansion of the Lincoln–Mercury Division (re-christened as the Mercury–Edsel–Lincoln Division), Edsel shared a price range with Mercury and its bodies with both Mercury and Ford.
Competing against Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Dodge, and DeSoto, Edsel was the first new brand introduced by an American automaker since the 1939 launch of Mercury and the 1956 launch of Continental; the latter was retired and merged into Lincoln during the 1957 model year.
In the year leading up to its release, Ford invested in an advertising campaign, marketing Edsels as the cars of the future. While 1958 Edsels introduced multiple advanced features for the price segment, the launch of the model line became symbolic of commercial failure. Introduced in a recession that catastrophically affected sales of all medium-priced cars, Edsels were considered overhyped, low quality, and unattractive; a central part of their design featured a vertical grille (and its resemblance to a horse collar).
