image taken near the hospital of Graz with the Hasselblad H3Dii on a tripod

This picture was taken on the same spot where I took the sunset with the boat. This was about an hour or 2 before that sunset shot, for some unknown reason I was inspired by this view, so I took it to share with everyone else, hope you like it. Something about the color in the sky and the focus of the American Flag captured me. Thank You everyone for your wonderful comments! : D

Peter Pen:

" I have a place where dreams are born,

And time is never planned.

It's not on any chart,

You must find it with your heart.

Never Never Land.

It might be miles beyond the moon,

Or right there where you stand.

Just keep an open mind,

And then suddenly you'll find

Never Never Land.

You'll have a treasure if you stay there,

More precious far than gold.

For once you have found your way there,

You can never, never grow old."

A calm autumn day at Lake Canobolas near Orange, NSW, with golden foliage reflecting softly across the still water. Warm seasonal colour, gentle light, and a peaceful regional landscape create a classic Central West autumn scene ideal for nature, travel, and outdoor themes.

Printed on Fomatone MG 131 (24x30 cm), developed in Adox Adotol and toned in Moersch MT5 Sepia (sulphide toner for direct toning of warmtone papers).

Strange distribution of toning here, can't explain it, but kind of like it anyhow.

Studio shot of a sunflower from the grocery store. The grocery store is very handy when the weather is too hot, cold, wet, dry, cloudy, etc. to shoot outside. Thanks to my wife (and the cats) for not complaining when I fill the sunroom with backdrops, lights, tripods, and other equipment.

laws are written on clean paper.

they are clear, precise, and absolute.

but life is not clean. it is a long battle

against the wind and the salt of the sea.

the old standards get torn. the edges fray.

the original text becomes hard to read.

but the pole still stands.

and what remains of the flag still catches the light.

it is a stubborn, battered, and undeniable truth.

it is enough.

"The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later you're hungry again." - George Miller

It's been another one of those busy from start to finish sort of days. For a Saturday it was paced at a constant go.

My laptop is dying a slow death, and I know my time left with it is getting shorter and shorter so today I went out in hopes of finding a decent machine on one of those 'back to school' specials.

I didn't luck out. Hopefully this laptop of mine still has a few more months left to it because I need to do more research and decide between buying another cheapie or investing more money into a higher end machine that will give me less frustrations.

Stopped at the Orleans Fruit Farm on my way home and picked up some fruits and veggies; my version of grocery shopping this weekend because honestly going to a traditional grocery store on a long weekend is not exactly my idea of awesome.

Hope everyone has had a good day.
