The final trace of sunlight slips below the horizon at the southwestern tip of Jarlsø in Tønsberg. In this brief and fragile moment, Golden Hour quietly gives way to Blue Hour.
Warm tones linger just long enough to touch the water before cooler shades take over the sky, creating a subtle balance between day and night.
Across the water lies Husøy, resting in silhouette as the calm surface reflects the last glow of the sun and the first whisper of twilight.
💡 Fun fact
The transition from Golden Hour to Blue Hour can last only a few minutes at northern latitudes, making this one of the shortest — and most elusive — light conditions to capture.

Lith printed on Fomabrom Variant IV 123 BO and developed in Moersch Easy Lith (25A+25B+40D+100OB+H2Oqs900).
Se 1+9 30 sec.
These are the differences between warmtone and coldtone lithable papers.
The Fomabrom Variant IV 123 BO was a "short living" attempt by Foma to make a paper which could be used for Bromoil (and maybe replace the original cold tone FB Variant IV 123, which was a very good lithable paper).
This one was good for both bromoil and lith printing :-).
When lithing coldtone papers, you want the "pepper" to appear. It's by far not as colourful as a warmtone papers. But on the other hand not so "high contrasty", so you can get more b&w nuances from the process. Which, btw, is much slower than the warmtone lith process. Expect exposure times to be around 5 min and developing times up to or above 20 (!) min. That of course depends on your "soup".
This was perhaps too much boring information, but if I can pass the knowledge ahead to coming b&w analog printers, it's worth it :-). And I'm of course not taking credit of any knowledge that Wolfgang Moersch possesses. Almost everything I've learned comes from him. Kudos, Wolfgang.

Woke up much too early this morning and decided to embrace it. Laundry is almost done, the house is clean and my Sweet Sunday is done for this week, all before 9:00am and all before breakfast.
Not a bad start to a Sunday; although, since I've made such a dent in the to-do list I'm not too sure what I'll do for the rest of the day now.
I'm sure I'll find something to keep me busy though. The sun is shining and the temperature is mild, so nothing to complain about today.

A toning experiment

From the satellite view, barges are tied up at this site. And I did a tiny amount of research and discovered that mulch is delivered by barge. This must be the place! TILT
BTW, if you're curious about the machine, as near as I can tell from google image search, it's a 5th wheel dolly. Heck, two TILTs in one day!!!

The Dom Luís I Bridge (Portuguese: Ponte de Dom Luís I), or Luís I Bridge, is a double-deck metal arch bridge that spans the river Douro between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal. At its construction, its 172 metres (564 ft) span was the longest of its type in the world. It can be confused with the nearby Maria Pia Bridge, a railway bridge that was built 9 years earlier (and is located 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) to the east), which is similar in aspect to the Luís I bridge.

Bracken fronds dying back at the end of their season, before new growth occurs in early summer at my local nature reserve in North West Cumbria. This common British heathland plant is a deciduous perennial, and it's fronds turn such beautiful tones of brown, copper and rust as it dies off during late autumn and the beginning of winter months. I nearly called our red dachshund 'Bracken' after this plant as the colours are so lovely in the light, just like his coat!

I didn't realize what the eagle was doing in the tree until I saw him? her? fly off with a little branch. The chosen branch is clearly missing in the second photo, A little research revealed that both bald eagles of a pair gather material but the female does most of the design and construction. Their nests are quite large, up to 1.5 meters wide and nearly a meter deep.
